    Hi All, Well ive had a busy week so far but had time to get some more done on Alex's bass, brass bridge ancor plate is now made and started to plane out the high end access. Also the Ash control cover is started. 4 way rotary switch from Dingwall guitars! More to follow soon! Cheers, Robbie.

    Yes mate they turned up the other day along with the 4 way rotary switch, will have the ancor plate and bridge fitted this week. maybe even have some strings on the bass. Cheers, Robbie.

    All this gas for the U5 is making me want one again, I use to own a U5 rigged up to an Ashdown powermagnifier 1000. I had a great sound going thru EBS 4x10 and 2x10. Maybe I'll wait till christmas and treat myself, glad to see two of my RIM bass owner are using them, cant wait to hear clips from Gary and Alex,s new bass. Cheers, Robbie.

    Hi All, The bass has no imperfections steve bud, just abit of burning from the routing and the top horn isnt fully finnish rout wise, due to me needing to get a 1/4 bit around the inside of the horn with my amazing Bosch GKF 600 palm router next week. Guys thanks for all the knid words on the bass, it means alot to me with this year being so busy work and house wise. Cheers, Robbie.

    Hi All, Well today we got quite abit done on the bass, all cavites machined and ancor tail done. Looking to blend the heel next week, mount the bridge and cut the nut. Could have it stringed up maybe also. Cheers, Robbie.

    Hi Guys, Ok so we have the top on now and Im hoping to get started on the routing this week, cavites and over rounding the edges. Alex bud it should be ok to go with an Ash back plate, leave it with me. Also the glockenklang 3 band pres turned up today and they are real nice. Pics soon Cheers, Robbie.

    Hi Guys, I routed this method on Marty's fretless, I had the idea that if both cavities linked it would help the resonance etc. It could be all pie in the sky mind, its gonna be interesting. Cheers, Robbie.

    Hi Guys, Spoke to Alex last night and we had a good chat about the bass and stuff, today i machined out the upper cavity and glued the black tuilpwood and Ash top on the bass. Leaving over the weekend and we will get cracking on the bridge ancor and rear cavity next week. Clamps! Cheers, Robbie.

    Hi All, Ash top machined to size today which made me lots of mess, got to get one piece tops cut to size in the future. So this is what its gonna look like! With the ETS bridge unit. Also the Black tuilpwood turned up today, Cheers, Robbie.

    Hi All, Well today I got the body ready for gluing the 2mm dyed black tuilpwood when it arrives tomorrow hopefully, going to machine the one piece Ash top tomorrow (lots of wood mess) So the body is gonna look like this shape wise! My new ride Volvo amazon 131, 1969 Cheers, Robbie.

    Cheers for putting the pic up Alex, Ive just got a new phone and I havent had time to upload the latest pics. So the frets are all in and bevelled, should be able to get the Ash top sorted this week coming and order the 2mm Dyed black tuilpwood for the contrast veneer. Cheers guys for the interest! Robbie.

    Hi Guys, Well ive fitted the frets today and they look nice, gonna have them bevelled this week and hopefully the wings on by the weekend. The new Ash top should be turning up this week also and ive just ordered my Jet 16-32 Drum Sander. Cheers, Robbie.
