1. Bargain! 15v though...bit of a ballache that my power strip won't do it. I've never owned a chorus and £30 would have been just nice to try it.
2. I play an active 5 string through an EHX Deluxe Big Muff pi with zero issues. There is a switch for active /passive selection.
3. What are the dimensions of the darkglass?
4. Anyone know if they're actually halfway decent though? Tempted to give it a go.
5.
It's OK man. You're home now.
Thanks....**sniff**
6. I'm 38 now, and still have my first bass from when I was 14. It's a battered and bruised Charvette by Charvel. 24 years isn't bad. Still my go to instrument. I've ordered some Zombie Dust handwould Doomster pickups for it, and a hipshot bridge will be next.
7. I've just ordered a P set from Zombie Dust....another small Uk manufacturer, but for more metal type genres.
8.
It's OK man. You're home now.
Thanks . Bit of a delay due to a bass malfunction. Battery (supplied with the bass) decided to leak and corrode terminals inside the body. Early impressions are favourable. Sounds warm and smooth and LOUD!!! Level knob is off at 7 o'clock. A millimetre clockwise and it's loud enough for my neighbours!
9. I have just received delivery of a brand new Tech 21 VTBass 500 head and a TC Electronics K2-12 Cabinet. I will post pictures and a brief review as soon as possible. I am a returnee to bass playing, due to concentrating on drums for over a decade. My last rig was an SWR Workingman head and a Peavey Black Widow 15" cab. I still have my very first bass; a 4 string Charvette by Charvel (in black, with the pointy Jackson headstock) and upgraded to Active Seymour Duncan pickups. I recently bought an Epiphone Toby Deluxe V as a cheap re-introduction to playing. I got sick of lugging drums basically. I've played/owned several really nice basses, but sold them to fund....oh god, i'm sorry....drums. EDIT: I am loving this head and cabinet. It may be a while until I get a chance to gig/rehearse with it at a loud volume, but currently I'm pleased and hope that I'm going to be reasonably well equipped for the future.
10. Not strictly bass, but I have a full set of Gen 1 Protection Racket cases for my Yamaha Stage Custom drum kit. I dropped one of the (cased) kick drums down a full flight of stone stairs and it was totally fine afterwards. Protection Racket is good gear. I hadn't considered that they made bass/guitar cases.
11. a year on, how have they held up? I'm thinking of sprinting for either 2 2x10 or 2 1x15s. Still very undecided.
