  1. i've woke up with second thoughts too - will sleep on it till weekend then might keep
  2. Listen to this person they know the truth 🤩
  3. I got mine from BC. As couldn’t wait to see one here and 3 weeks after I bought it was one on here 🤩
  4. Yes it’s crap now - total nightmare means can’t buy from EU without delays and added VAT
  5. Well didn't think i'd be selling this but just fell in love with a CIJ P Bass and it's one in one out with me. I may regret it. This as others here will attest, a lovely bass based on the famous 64 Bruce Thomas was famous for, there has obviously been a lot of love and care gone into crafting this bass. One of the nicest necks i've played, custom designed to Bruce Thomas' high standards, it's a 40mm nut width and as it has a satin finish, it is a joy to play with rolled edges so no fret sprout. The orange body (salmon pink officially but looks orange to me) looks amazing and looks different in different lights but always wow. The pups are very hot, custom wound for Bruce and the response from hi to low is great. Has old school roller bridge saddles for custom string spacing, which is about 19mm on this bass. Freshly strung with brand new light gauge EB roundwounds for super ZING! No dead spots and intonation good - i've added the ashtray cover can remove if you prefer No dings or scratches that i know of, never gigged but seeing as bought last summer that's no surprise. Also comes with brand new Fender gig bag. If this had a Fender logo on it it would be over 1k easy Can post for £20 to UK only im afraid as Brexit has messed up buying/selling abroad big time (took 45 days to return an amp to Germany this year) but if the bass doesn’t sell - I’ll take that as a sign that I need 2 p basses Plus a signed copy of BT’s Rough Notes book - a must read for bassists
  6. i might get the NY121 extension but went MB for potability or the Fender 500 but to be honest - we only tend to play 300 capacity places - GASing on a MIJ P bass which may be the answer haha
  7. Great stuff - good that it was 🎤 up too
  8. I got a great little stand from my sister as a present - good luck with gig 👍
  9. At low volume it is superb - what I’ve settled on is low gain more volume, bass on 11pm lo mid 10pm, hi mid 12pm, high 1pm - vpf off and vle 9pm which sits good in the mix but don’t like it in its own - without vle it’s clanky and with it adds mud but rounds out the mids. With the fender I just set it flat and more gain that volume and was great - but not tried BT Pbass loud through Fender
  10. Rehearsed twice with it now and it’s bit muddy but also Bruce Thomas p bass with TI flats is new. At moment not overly impressed - sounds good in mix but on its own lacks clarity- will work on eqing- anyone else get this? My Fender Rumble 200 has more punch
  11. what a beaut - if i had the cash i would!
  12. Hi Mike yes shortie
  13. lighter a feather i've no scales but my P Bass is 8lb and it's probably 5lbs when lifting both
  14. Thank you! i believe it is the Mandocaster - Ian can play just about anything you put in his hands - we were missing our lead player too due to covid restrictions in his town that day
  15. Selling my Danelectro 63 short scale- very 60s woody sound akin to a semi acoustic due to material used in construction. Twangy thumpy finger tone but kerplunky with plec set up with flats- crazy low action super fast to play - little scratched in pics bout over 16 years old Prefer collection only or can deliver within 50 miles of Clitheroe - or can post at buyer's liability Here it is in action played with plec through Fender Rumble 200 Head and 210 cab https://americana-uk.com/the-twang-factor-presents-west-on-colfax#more-52505
  16. these are great basses - i love mine - i'll only sell it if i can get my brother-in-law let me have his 78 P Bass that he doesn't play!! Or will sell!
  17. No worries Bob
  18. Hi Bob still for sale - sorry just saw this i dont seem to be getting notifications
  19. Hi see new pics. Still for sale one person having a think
  20. Here’s a not very helpful video - you need to turn up the volume and where I unplugged the jack - that was it started to feedback from Bass IMG_1967.MOV
  21. I think you’re right. The gain really increases the hiss but once you get the master volume past 75% it goes - I’ve read about the tweeter needing playing in - in live band situation it shouldn’t be a problem
  22. Fan noise is a bit annoying but will be ok with a band. Great at low volume - good round bass - hoping at volume in the mix it’ll be similar - turned it up half way and it’s loud! It’s highlighted my bass has a bit of an earth issue
  23. Markbass just arrived can’t really test it at home but really like size and weight - just need green light for rehearsals!
  24. You’ll also need to consider what kind of music he wants to play. This has nice flats on for a really thumpy 60s sound.
