just orderd this as Thomann confirmed you can just put regular amp cable into unit -so that's good for me and i needed a little more room - then can add one more pedal

yes was looking this or just the iso 5 unit - i'm pretty tempted by the new board. - if it's like the ISO5 then it's supposed to be properly isolated

Great advice on this thread - anyone recommend a small pedal board (4 pedals) with built in power supply? Ive seen a few but all need plug adapter - I plug into wall on a PSU daisy chained but always get noise from chorus (bass clone) rest of pedals just SD comp and MXR80 and tuner are all silent - so thinking powerboard with built-in unit will be easier just to plug and play - currently the bass clone is after the MXR80 but ampless for festivals will be before MXR80

yeah thanks mate, i think if it sounds great in the mix tonight - i'm keeping it and look to mod - our guitarist is a fixer of all things technical so he's bringing some bits of rubber along - ideally i'd find someone to make a thin casing for it - i have played it quite a lot over weekend as i had long weekend off

Had this over the weekend - the playability is brilliant and so are the selection of sounds - i got more time to play around and immediately pos 1 and 3 jumped out but over time i've found i'm liking 2 and 4 as well - a lot of choice The big downside to mine is the sharp edges on the the pickups - my natural playing position for fingers is right where the neck pup is - fine when playing plecturm which i do for my cover band - but it's really irking me and taking away from just playing - i'm taking it to full rehearsal tonight up agains my MIJ Jazz (which has the best neck ever) and i got the Triad for the tone capability - I'm 30% thinking of returning it - unless it blows me away tonight - i'm bit torn on it as ergonomics is a large part of expression for me Anyone else find the pickups bit sharp or do you get used to it?

Ordered the periwinkle Triad - with the new soft case. Merchant City doing set up with TI flats before it leaves shop too. Really great customer service and a wee discount Definitely on the Reverend train - was really impressed with the quality of the Dub King -
Got mine yesterday- shop put on some TI flats but DG we’re way too low and we’re buzzing but not too much through amp. So tweaked it. Played it for a few hours yesterday… the good: the clarity of the notes right up the neck balance of output over the strings very playable neck lightweight and balanced great even in a slim strap 2 great positions straightaway- 1 and 3 seems like a P and a Ric - looking forward to rehearsals loud the bridge is great not so good: about a 1mm gap between neck and body - see pic I small ding in the neck at 7th fret the fret ends though can’t feel them when playing just don’t feel finished - are these basses plex-ed? also resting thumb on jazz bomb pups feels not that comfortable - might have to invent a small rubber whatsit to sit on it the nut is everyone’s nut slightly angled? Seems like a good idea I got a feeling tho after rehearsal it’ll be a keeper

Howdy have had to start using plecs for cover band and I’ve been using Jim Dunlop 0.73 Tortex Flow. These are right thickness but could do with a wider plectrum to for two fingers and thumb holding it - I don’t feel in control with just index and thumb and with these my second finger hangs over any recommendations for fat fingered players

Well hopefully it'll be my main bass for gigging band i'm in - or alternative to the fender jazz - it's on order now - so will see.

Thanks for comments. On my quick go in the shop - the neck pick up and neck and middle were really impressive- but back then I was after a p bass for the music I was doing. Just can’t decide between korina or periwinkle.

How are you finding it after having it for a while? How's the neck and what positions are you using most - I went to Glasgow especially to play a Decision P but it was the Triad that most impressed me (the Dub King had sold out) - I bought the reverend Dub King later but having to sell as it's just a tad too small after playing 34inch - it was a toss up between that and the Triad - I really like both the Korina burst and Periwinkle (cant decide) - the Dub King in natural (looks amazing wish it was 34in) has made me a Reverend fan - really great quality basses.

I really wanted to keep this, but it's too small for my fat fingers and imprecise fingering - look at it, it's one of the most purdy looking basses i've ever had The bass end you can get out of this is huge - i could feel it vibrating my legs at rehearsal, the drummer was very impressed - great for palm muting due to comfortable bridge, Macca stuff all day. Jamerson too. Not so good if you're a Jaco head (maybe if you had zingy rounds on it), which I'm not. But loads of old school mojo but modern touches - if this was 34 inch then it'd be perfect. Very lightweight approx 7lbs, with nice glassy neck, very very comfortable to play, zero frets sticking out, balances on a strap great. Noiseless pups, which are responsive with a great blend knob. 42mm nut width, Brand new La Bella LFTs on it - and the very nice rounds it came with in bag. Comes with deluxe padded Fender bag - which is worth it for the carrying handle alone, very nice - will be getting another of these for next bass. Comes with case candy, inspection list, and all that good stuff. Yes it's a keeper for a back up - very big output like the SX - had to turn the amp down- so down the line probably going to throw in the Colbalt P bass pups from Fender - as have them on my jazz as they sound amazing, then will have similar output hopefully. The treble side of the stock pups is good - the bass side was good and meaty but they feel a bit unbalanced, tho only had a bit of time to dial it in - compared to silly expensive colbalts - but for stock on their own, they are fine. Playing wise, really good experience , so light didnt feel it at all, balanced on strap and that neck is great - impressive as was the SX, but this has a much better neck and bridge. Great for a back up or could be amazing with good pups, will be using this bass.

I was looking at the Ibanez too - but it’s the looks and I know that reverend necks are solid that swung me. Just wish it was 34inch then it’d be perfect because the tone with the pickup blend just towards the neck is superb - real fat bottom end but with clarity instead of muddy but still has woody vibes

Just got mine - out of the box really good set up - i still think this is like an upgraded SX with the roasted neck (very nice) not sure if you own an SX that for the extra nearly £170 it's worth the extra, the SX has a glassy gloss but feels same shape, they both feel very similar in weight and shape. The Jet has brass saddles too, but as a back up to my CIJ Jazz - it's very nice - easy to play - bit of neck dive sat down but lovely and light - all it really wins over the SX for me is the colour - the finish is great and the feel of the neck - like the SX i cant feel the frets, so maybe it's how Jonny Dibble plays it but nut is sharp (see his review here) nothing a bit of slight filing wont sort - i really should keep the SX and have maybe some tapes on it but I'm not one for having basses sat about not earning their keep - but in conclusion on the Jet hype train - will rehearse it tomorrow

Mines coming tomorrow- got some extra La Bella LFTs for it- just wondering how much different it’ll be than the SX I already have - except for the roasted body and neck. Will get chance to rehearse it Tuesday
