Nah keeping it. Be a good back up Lovely looking and good playing 2021 SX vintage style p bass with SX gig bag very light - no scales but about 7lbs much less than my jazz. Full scale 34 inch. nut 42mm chunkier neck but not baseball bat. Absolutely no fret sprout - this Chinese factory are going the extra mile for SX - amazing quality for the price. Strung with flats but probably can find some decent rounds too Possible great mod platform but pretty good as is. Make a good spare or knockabout was in need of a good set up when I got it. Cleaned and Have tightened everything up, given truss rod half a turn, intonation 98% there now. prices to sell at £135 plus £12 postage to uk. Or possibly trade for jazz SX or Squier Jaguar or maybe a semi but 34 or 32 inch

Thanks sir I'm getting noise after chorus which is after compressor - which when i add the MXR at the end (so boss tuner/ Seymour Duncan compressor/ EHX chorus/ MXR preamp di) then i have hiss from treble on the chorus - without the MXR it's great no hissing - the MXR was an afterthought and doesnt hiss on it's own - but i need chorus for 80s stuff i'm doing at mo -

Hi All Mark Bass manual isn't clear - but the balanced line in - i take it it's for double bass inputs but could you take DI output from MXR Bass DI into balanced input - i'm guessing this doesn't bypass the power amp - instead you'd need to use the FX send and return to bypass the power amp I think i answered my own question but wanted to check the bass brain whats best as i want the pedal board to be the source of my sound and the Mark Bass to be a monitor which i can use or not use if i choose ta in advance - my tiny brainand lack of MB details on manual doesnt help

Great pedal as you'll all now, it's only about a month old - just going down different route - so surplus to requirements - has velcro on bottom Here's what MXR say about the Bass Preamp The MXR Bass Preamp combines a pristine bass preamp with a studio-quality Direct Out in a Phase 90-sized box, providing clear tone without hogging precious pedalboard space. Use it to add a new voice to an old passive bass, sweeten up any amp, or put some special sauce on a particular song. Dial it in just the way you want it and send it straight to the house-pre or post-EQ-with the built-in Direct Out. The Bass Preamp features separate INPUT and OUTPUT level controls and a 3-band EQ section with sweepable midrange-from 250hz to 1khz-for extensive tonal flexibility. It's all delivered super clean with high headroom thanks to our own Constant Headroom Technology, and you can use the PRE/POST EQ switch to set whether or not your Direct Out signal is affected by the Bass Preamp's EQ section. And of course, the Bass Preamp features a GROUND LIFT switch in case you encounter ground loop hum. The Bass Preamp is factory preset to operate in 1/4" out buffered bypass and Direct Out active. For players who only want to use the 1/4" out, there are two internal switches that disable the Direct Out and 1/4" out buffered bypass for true 1/4" out bypass mode. £125 posted in original box plus bubble wrap and outer box to UK

I’ve gone with MXR 81 as although I use my mark bass the time controls will be handy to go ampless - or just di to desk from MXR and use amp as monitor
-
Thanks but have bought the MXR new from PMT as it’s the one I chose and surprised Gwiz did too

The Getz helping out here. Insane amount of pedals think just going to get the MXR in my price range and that, the radial and the Sushibox sounded great to me. In any near me price range

This looks interesting too https://www.withbassinmind.com/the-pedal Phil Mann endorsed

I saw the Radial in a shoot out with Noble and others that American lad did - that looked good but Tonex One sounds good to check out.

Great I’ll look at Tonex definitely

Howdy DIs seem to now have all bells and whistles- I have a very simple board - tuner, Seymour Duncan Bass Compressor, chorus - I’d like a decent very simple DI - I can’t afford a Noble, I don’t do enough gigs to justify but I like it’s simple 3 button unit - but in studios I’ve used Reddi DI - so does anyone have any recommendations? up to 100-200£

Reluctant sale but needs must-ang ha CIJ Fender Mustang bass - serial number comes up 1994 (and was bought by me advertised as 94( but CIJ started 1997 - so Q should be 02-04. Then again apparently there were some CIJ used as a crossover- so It’s either 22 or 30 years old - anyway it’s a cracker. Sanded and waxed body (bought like this) gives it a really beautiful aged look and very resonant, set up with brand new TI lightest guage flats - so very low tension - I’ve also had the neck gloss sanded off and olied by luthier pal - super fast to play. I’ve had him install hand wound Northern Pickups vintage Alnico 5 pickups (like the JMJ) which came on a parchment guard (original tort guard will be included but not original pickups)- 7.6 k - lifetime guarantee- which has given it a bit more bit than old stock ones - please note that the thumbrest isn’t installed on the new pickguard Has a kiog0n solder less loom bought on here from the man himself - with wooden knobs (original blank ones will be included) I first reported an issue where I thought shielding might be needed. Turned out to be a faulty bass pedal as issue was with jazz bass too - now it’s fine again Comes with fitted gig bag which is a good fit. Price is lowest I can let go for to claw back what I paid plus the money I’ve thrown at it. Easily better than the JMJ neck and feels very much like the 76 MIA I had. Collect from Clitheroe or will meet up within 30 miles for petrol or £20 posted to UK only
