  1. I saw the Radial in a shoot out with Noble and others that American lad did - that looked good but Tonex One sounds good to check out.
  2. Great I’ll look at Tonex definitely
  3. Howdy DIs seem to now have all bells and whistles- I have a very simple board - tuner, Seymour Duncan Bass Compressor, chorus - I’d like a decent very simple DI - I can’t afford a Noble, I don’t do enough gigs to justify but I like it’s simple 3 button unit - but in studios I’ve used Reddi DI - so does anyone have any recommendations? up to 100-200£
  4. New pedal - has led lights and multi functions to sculpt compression

  5. This has got a nice feeling neck - it’s got some heft to it - I played the JMJ and I prefer this neck - but I put Alnico 5 pups in this to get the bite the JMJ has - but no worries a JMJ is a good bass - though I think this is better but short scale isn’t for me hence sale
  6. Hi it’s 38mm. Balances nicely on a strap - I usually use a suede strap so just found an old embroidered strap and balances perfectly
  7. 8lbs - nice and light and yes it’s a cracker
  8. Reluctant sale but needs must-ang ha CIJ Fender Mustang bass - serial number comes up 1994 (and was bought by me advertised as 94( but CIJ started 1997 - so Q should be 02-04. Then again apparently there were some CIJ used as a crossover- so It’s either 22 or 30 years old - anyway it’s a cracker. Sanded and waxed body (bought like this) gives it a really beautiful aged look and very resonant, set up with brand new TI lightest guage flats - so very low tension - I’ve also had the neck gloss sanded off and olied by luthier pal - super fast to play. I’ve had him install hand wound Northern Pickups vintage Alnico 5 pickups (like the JMJ) which came on a parchment guard (original tort guard will be included but not original pickups)- 7.6 k - lifetime guarantee- which has given it a bit more bit than old stock ones - please note that the thumbrest isn’t installed on the new pickguard Has a kiog0n solder less loom bought on here from the man himself - with wooden knobs (original blank ones will be included) I first reported an issue where I thought shielding might be needed. Turned out to be a faulty bass pedal as issue was with jazz bass too - now it’s fine again Comes with fitted gig bag which is a good fit. Price is lowest I can let go for to claw back what I paid plus the money I’ve thrown at it. Easily better than the JMJ neck and feels very much like the 76 MIA I had. Collect from Clitheroe or will meet up within 30 miles for petrol or £20 posted to UK only
  9. Sold some strings to Dave - fast payment, good communication 👍👍👍
  10. A couple of days old - I play flats and just not for me. Super zingy and harmonics for days - The E string has been cut with about 5 inches of wind left - rest not cut £25 posted- grab basically a new set for half price I don’t want to think about the money I’ve spent on new strings esp TI flats 🧐
  11. Long scale 43/56/70/100 (packing is from my new short scale light age) Cut for a Gibson style headstock with 2-2 configuration will also for through body short scale or should fit medium scale top loader price including postage
  12. Im getting involved in a new project where a jazz set up with some groundwounds might be the thing. I really like the green one. So seeing your comment has made me think yeah why not. Laura Lee’s SX is sxy 😂
  13. Unknown brand - Chromes? Longish scale - comes from string through mustang - lowish tension - nice sounding price includes postage
  14. Less than month old La Bella mustang string through bass strings - cut and seated for Mustang string thru bass - gigged twice. 43/60/82/104 guage just prefer TIs. What I love about these la bellas is the polished feel - so smooth- the TIs are bit sticky (which is annoying) but slightly lower tension which I’m used to Price includes postage - so half price new strings

  15. having read this thread - i went to David at Northern Pickups - got the vintage pups with alnico5 not overwound - as the JMJ has A5 magnets and i like the tighter bottom end and slight more bite - still sounds vintage and i really like them, David sent them attached on a pickguard - so no faffing with springs and i wanted a new parchment guard - swapped them out to a solderless kiOgon loom from here with full size pots. - dont do what i did and put them on wrong way round and send a pic to ki0gon for him to point out i had a pot in the jack hole haha oops embarrassing - sounds great though-- i had to use a hair dryer just to warm the guard up so it'd make the fit round the neck easier
  16. 90s CIJ Mustang tort pickguard with larger 45mm holes for pickups - in good nick £5 postage
  17. Original pickups from CIJ Mustang bass from 1998 (serial number claims 1994 but neck pocket says 98) on aged pickguard. With 45mm hopes. Original tort guard is for sale on another separate ad. comes with wooden thumb rest with holes in guard also included original loom with mini pots, cap and jack input collrct from Clitheroe or £5 postage

  21. Howdy it’s a CIJ from 94 and finish has been stripped by a previous owner. Tone pot didn’t work when I got it.
