  1. Clarky So the diffce between the T and D is the preamp, as you mentioned
  2. I have a spare BP-100 twin piezo I bought, in case of. What preamp you have ? Leduc put me first a bartolini one, and latter change it for, I don't know what. But not sure I prefer the new one, even if I'm not a fan of Batolini sound. Leduc is retired, but I hope still in activity for maintenance. I had it on phone a year ago and need to see him for maintenance my 4 string U Bass. I live in Paris, If you pass to Paris, we can see each other
  3. It's a so beautifull bass that on stage even if you play badly, people will like your playing. No I'm jocking. 😀😀
  4. I play it sitting as a regular bass, some play it like a cello
  5. HI HellZero Don’t have the Godin, but have the TB10 and the Leduc with the old twin Fishman piezo. Don’t know if that pickup sound better than what Leduc puts after on the U Bass. Ubass strung with La Bella 760N Black Nylon Tape as recommended by Leduc himself. As you my TB10 is stung with Thomastik JF 364, light gauge, easy to play. I’m not a fan of the Ubass headless design, when I bought it, Icould have it with a head, but Leduc told me that this will make more sustain, and in final I thought that if Leduc built it like that (headless), there is a reason that it could sound better and bought it like that. Like you I’m not a fan of the mwah. The Ubass is very light also. Just to share my impression.
  6. For the TB10, I agree, if you lower the action you loose the DB sound, but it’s easier to play. I lower the action of mine, but with a good EQ and a CTP CoolTube Preamp, you can find back a sound which is more or less as the original one. Maybe the difference between the D and TB 10 is the new preamp, the CT4-DX. No more CoolTube.
  7. I have noticed that for me, in case of, could always have a look https://snap-dragon-guitars.com/products/snap-dragon-e-bass
  8. HI

About the Phil Jones, is it in 220 V, and is the price 220 dollars ?

    Thank's for your answer

  9. Thank’s for your answer. One last question: With a strap, does it has a tendency to tilts forward ?
  10. HI MacDaddy Does the spaces between the frets are the same as a regular bass (34") ? meaning it's a long scale but the fingerboard is short. Thank's for your answer
  11. HI What is the name of the bridge you put on your bass ? Any link ? I have some problem to tune mine correctly with the original wood bridge. May be change it for something else. Thank's for your answer
  12. I found this news today at Thomann. No idea if it's good or not, but cheap. https://www.thomann.fr/thomann_pageturn_pedal.htm
  13. mp sent
  14. HI Are these tuners this one ? https://www.thomann.de/gb/gotoh_gb350_2l_2r_bc_bass_tuners.htm?shp=eyJjb3VudHJ5IjoiZ2IiLCJjdXJyZW5jeSI6NCwibGFuZ3VhZ2UiOjJ9&reload=1 Thank's for your answer
  15. Hi, Speaking strings, I strung with Thomastik JF 344, Flatwound. I like those stings that I had for a long time on my Takamine TB10. Very light gauge, Flatwound to protect the fingerboard, and I like the sound of them. I have tried the Thomastik Acousticore on my Taka TB10, but the surface noise was too much important for me when changing position with the left hand on the fingerboard, otherwise I would have kept them, for the sound, the light gauge, despite the fact that they are round wound and it can mark the fingerboard. - For the Allen key, so they must be tightened firmly and are just here to hold the electret. This way, the buzz disappears, now Sandy no more buzz on the D string.
  16. It's a huge job that you did Sandy for all the owners of Aria Sinsonido. Speaking of the internal baffle arrangement, which can be adjusted using 2 allen-screws through the top of the tube, Does trying to adjust the screws, turning them one side or the others could change the sound, to try to find the best position for the best sound possible ? Thank’s for your answer Alain
  17. 100 £ for two electrets and a PCB, could be a good idea
  18. You mean you will not play any more ?
  19. Sandy, you mean you bought it ?
  20. HI Both of you Is it possible that the difference in bass sound between our 3 Sinsos is only due to the adjustment of the pickups under the strings? I cannot remember the name of the company that made those electret fo Aria. but they could probably answer to the effect of the adjustment on the sound of the bass. For me, I think the string must be sited firmly on the cylinder. Some folks report the problem of difference in sound between the strings, and probably due to the fact that the slot before the cylinder was too tight or too high to let the strings pass or sit correctly. Don’t expect any answers from Aria, they don’t. For the power supply The only instruction I have is this paper. Are you sure of your power supply ?
  21. Hi both of you GetFletch, I listened your record, and don’t find many diffce with my Sinso. Your Sinso seems to work well. I don’t understand the polarity problem you talk about, in case of DC problem, there is protection (diode), have you try with a battery ? I had a rehearsal yesterday and I had an horrible sound, plugged direct in the PA, distorted and using a high pass filter. May be the level of the mixer was too open ? Today I record my Sinso, 3 sound test, all with Berlinger interface from jack to USB 😄 one direct, one direct power amp with no preamp, one on TC Bam 200, EQ at 12, all with Crazy 8 cab, epoxy one, rather medium sound. I don’t know what to say, my today records gives a rather good sound, but live I have always a problem with too much bass, using a HPF full open, and sometimes a distorded sound , due may be to the output made also for an headphone . The only thing we seems to be sure for the moment is the problem with the age of the condensers. Don’t know if my answer will help a lot, to read you. 22. Hi Getfletch I and Sandy are in contact every day and work together to resolve the problem of the Sinsonido. When you have time could you describe the fault symptom(s) you've got with the electronics, please? because you have the recent Sinso, and we have the older one with only one jack. It would be interesting to hear if the symptoms are the same or does Aria has changed few things in their recent models Also, if by chance you would have some records of your sinso, please feel free to include them in your answer, cause our sinso (I and Sandy) doesn't sound the same, and we would like to hear if that comes from the record who are different, or possible different PCB. Thank's for yours answer. Alain
  23. HI Getfletch By chance do you have any record of you sinso ? we would like to compare with ours. Thank's by advance Alain
