  1. Dire straits- Sultans of Swing on my sunburst Squier P. 1984/1985.
  2. TimeTree works OK for us.
  3. You won’t be disappointed!
  4. Had a look on their site - Incredible craftsmanship on display.
  5. I used to have one of these! Feels like part of my bass history.
  6. First bass in 1985 - Squier P in Sunburst bought from Paul Garvey Music in Newcastle- It was either that or a Westone - I’m always a bit of a brand snob and the Squier had ‘by Fender’ on it. Anyway it sounded ok but I remember the BBOT bridge rusting after a while. That was followed by various things including a couple of headless active things. 2. Fast forward to 1992/3 and I was in the Midlands. Cue a trip to the Bass Centre - I left with a magnificent Warwick Corvette 5 String in Bubinga with wenge neck (later enhanced with Overwater active circuitry) Definitely a Milestone which was with me for a few special gigs including one at Newcastle Arena at the millennium. 3. Turned 50 and was gifted a Fender Jazz Elite 4 in white which is my current go-to. Does everything and is so playable.
  7. Sooo tempting this. Just up the road from you in Marley Hill.
  8. I have the standard 2016 version of this bass. It’s my go-to bass so I’m sure this one will no doubt play and sound awesome. GLWTS!
  9. Bargain at that price.
  10. Someone say Blues Trio and Markbass gear??
  11. Alright? Saw them at the Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne last night and it was totally awesome- great sound, tight as a very tight thing and good vibes. You’re in for a treat.
  12. Oh yes! Very excited to be seeing them in Glasgow on Saturday night.
  13. I still regret selling a 1993 corvette 5 I had from new. Bought it from the Bass Centre in Birmingham. Lovely bubinga top and wenge neck. A bit later I had an active circuit added by overwater too. if anyone owns it now, please let me know - I can’t afford to buy it back but it would be great to hear it’s still getting used!
  14. V1 for me
  15. I have an identical bass, it’s my ‘go-to’ and would echo what mungoBass said about the tones. GLWTS. ps if anyone needs to hear see & hear one in action, mine will be playing blues in the Quaker House in Darlington tomorrow night!
  16. I've been gigging regularly since 1986 and still get butterflies in the hours beforehand. Just make sure you know the material (or at least the key), take a few deep breaths and try to enjoy it!
  17. I had some birthday cash to spend and opted for the TC Electronics BAM200 as a backup amp. Only tried it briefly but it sounds good.
  18. @kalfer I feel your pain - this would be the perfect partner for the Jass Elite I bought off you.
  19. Love it! My sandberg 5 has a full bubinga top but yours has so much more character. GLWTS
