  1. I only see toupees and wigs in pics or professionally shot videos with perfect lighting and camera angles.I would think they look different in real life? Daryl
  2. I know what you mean. I've been a member of Bass Chat so long I feel like I do know some of you. The gig stories are fantastic. Most of the stories I can say " been there, done that". But nobody can top my Baraboo Blues Fest story when I forgot to bring my bass. Lol Daryl
  3. Dave, At least for the material we do. I'm no longer a fan of technical drumming with fancy riffs and fills. Just keep the beat and tempo consistent and I'm good. Most of the time our drummer is only on the snare, high hat and the kick drum and I love it. Example attached. It's a recycled video clip of " Ohio " Crosby, Stills and Nash. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/jZ21spbRNUPMAvU3/?mibextid=qi2Omg Now, when we're talking about fusion or more progressive genres that's a different discussion. 4. Ok, well that explains the 40 minutes of chocolate rain. Lol Daryl
  5. I look the best I can for a 70 year old. Daryl
  6. I wonder how many of my 60s male stars are wearing toupees and hair peices? Daryl
  7. Lol, I thought so Dave. It's a girl, baby Sora. She says she doesn't care about my bass playing or my band. Lol Daryl
  8. Thanks Dave, I really liked bass with the Telecaster body style. Is that new? Daryl
  9. Fantastic Pic! Daryl
  10. Agreed, and I'll bet no one who's had botox or any kind of work and walked into a room ever heard someone say " Hey look, a young person" lol Daryl
  11. I could go all over the place with this one. I'm 70 and all my bandmates are in their 30s. I never mention or bring up anything relative to my generation. I figure at 70 and you can get a woman in her 30s to come within 5 feet of you you're doing good. Lol Daryl
  12. Your drummer listens to bass? Sometimes I wonder how important bass is to the rest of the band. It seems like they're focusing for the most part on their own individual performance. Daryl
  13. Very nice rig. Daryl
  14. No gigs this weekend. I was with my first grandchild. Daryl
  15. Just another Ppic of my favorite bass guitar. Daryl
  16. Me too. Daryl
  17. The jack is always removed and the switches in the " off" position. Daryl
  18. My tip for everyone. Don't buy batteries for your gear at The Dollar Store. Lol Daryl
  19. That's worth considering. However I wouldn't want to compromise the transparency of the factory configuration. It's so seamless and quiet. Daryl
  20. Nice job! Daryl
  21. Mine is a 1994 ASAT. Definitely doesn't work in passive. I had it fail miserably at a gig once. I don't ever want to go through that again. Daryl
  22. I have to put a fresh 9 volt in my 1994 G&L ASAT Bass with active pre amp before every gig. It won't play in passive mode if the battery is dead. Daryl
  23. I like being wireless and having a decent size stage too. During sound checks I mark off three spots on stage II will shift on and off to. Daryl
  24. Dave, Here's a pic from last weekend at the Waukesha Blues Festival. Always wireless. Daryl
  25. We played from 5:30- 8:00. Not much of a crowd. It's a restaurant and live music is an after thought. We we're tight and I was happy with my playing. We actually tried some new material we covered " Work Song" by Hosier. I left with a comped baroque pulled pork entree. We also invested in new monitors for acoustic shows. I know Dave likes Harley so I took a few pics. Daryl
