  1. How about this one: " What amp should I buy?" Blue
  2. Yes, while the extra money is crucial a gig is always going to be fun. Even the bad gigs. Having an extra $400.00 -$ 500.00 after a weekend is fun too. Daryl
  3. Maple Road 10/14 " No Diggity " cover https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0JRS6ADEwzCRwqZfKwyEVJiX4ZusMvKDAqR3SmixRqs3crSnrFtw6NaM2VRkrsRJGl&id=1470144703&mibextid=Nif5oz Blue
  4. Dave, I keep my Line 6 G50 transmitter in my front pocket . I have the strap clips, maybe I should switch over to clipping it to my strap? Daryl
  5. I remember the old days, back in the 60s. All we had was volume, bass and treble. Blue
  6. If you follow my posts, you know I'm not a " I'm not in it for the money" guy. Far from it. I need this extra money. I'm stashing away all my gig money to pay my annual property taxes. I've had gigs that I wasn't looking forward to. They become a "get out and go get that money" proposition only. Sad but true. Blue
  7. Here's a better video of Tennessee Whiskey. I hope this isn't a duplicate posting https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0A7vcWBLR8RgevNBYZGiPNivGmXbeW5aCWTEo7mJNoUwmASPwX8VN4CzYtccFo6h5l&id=1470144703&mibextid=Nif5oz Daryl
  8. Very nice. I've been playing wireless for the past 12 years. Wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not going to venture out into the audience like some guys, however I like the freedom wireless gives you. Daryl
  9. And guess what, the weather changed for the better the day of the gig. This is what we looked like inside. Not too bad. Daryl
  10. Love this clip. Great tone and great chops. Dave, you're really cutting through. Are you direct out and what amp are you using? Daryl
  11. Yeah, for most gigs it's either my ASAT or my 2005 MIJ 1951 Fender P reissue. Daryl
  12. That's my new girlfriend. And that is my smile . Lol🙂 Daryl
  13. Out of all the obstacles we all face I think poor turn out is the hardest to deal with. It is for me. Blue
  14. Dave, I believe mine is a 1993 American build Dave. It was around $900.0 used. I bought it at least 12 years ago. Daryl
  15. Thanks again Dave, What I hear onstage is completely different than what I hear in the video. I'm not sure what Fullerton is. Daryl
  16. Thanks Dave, Here's the " No Diggity Clip" from last night. Lots of guitar https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02N9EHNX93ezEbN7SXGXeS2W41yrrSu5Yc1czF1DiZta4eJSH4M2TwpKAjYWrPybh1l&id=1470144703&mibextid=Nif5oz Daryl
  17. The gig turned out to be a lot of fun. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=862602832054443&id=100001681941959&mibextid=Nif5oz I'll add another full song clip later tonight. Blue
  18. I'd be afraid to ship a bass guitar unless I had a foam injection machine. Blue
  19. I have just about everything set at the mid point or 12 noon. Blue
  20. Like I said I struggle with it too. I think every band handles communications differently. Some of these guys on Bass Chat are playing with life long mates /friends. We're friendly to each other but not friends in the traditional sense. And I've been in the band since 2009 One thing about us, while there's not much communication there's also absolutely no drama or tension between members. Daryl
  21. I'd never quit on my own. If Maple Road ever folded, I'd never be able to find another gigging band that would be a match for me. Blue
  22. A drummer friend of mine spent 8 months putting together a cracking " oldies" band. At the last minute the bass player " flaked" out and bailed on them. They were too bummed and exhausted to look for a bass new player and gave up. I can't say I blame them. Blue
  23. Sounds like our gig in Baraboo 2 weeks ago For those of you new to gigging, what Geaves describes is a part of the business. Your going to have challenging gigs. This Saturday it will be 48°, windy and rainy. Not what I would call glamorous. This is what I'm looking at. I will arrive with a smile and a cheerleader attitude. Blue
  24. I struggle with it too. There's a bit of texting to confirm gigs. New songs are generally easy and learned on the fly at gigs. The other thing is I'm old school and started gigging in the mid 60s. The band members are half my age. My ideas and suggestions seem dated to them. Maybe they are? Daryl
