  1. Excellent, any serious gigging band is already heavily booked into 2023 and has some kind of business model in place and has a great network and connections. For bands that want to gig allot should understand it's hard work and not a hit or miss proposition. It's important to understand the value of your contacts. Losing a contact can be the kiss of death for a gigging band. Blue
  2. Good story. If I ever dep I'll make sure I ask a little bit about the folks I'm playing with. Blue
  3. Hi Dave, I do not use an amp for acoustic gigs. I walk in with my Gibson ES-335 or my German made Hofner Club bass and an instrument stand and DI right into the PA. And not to rub it in, I don't drive to gigs anymore. The guys pick me up in the van. How are you doing Dave? Blue aka Daryl

  5. I gig and rotate about 7 different bass guitars. Not one band member has even made a comment. I don't think most guys know one bass from the other or even notice what bass your playing. I actually think I could show up with a Fender Stratocaster and they wouldn't even notice. Blue
  6. What is this Dog & Duck. Is it a franchise? Blue
  7. " Played to nobody" Jack , as you know , that happens to all of us sooner or later. Blue

  9. I'm glad the new owners are keeping the live music model. Over here in the States a change of ownership is usually the kiss of death to live music. Blue

  16. He's my "main man". Never knew what an electric bass was until I got my first Beatle record in 1963. Blue
  17. It depends on the legend. If you're disappointing your fans it might be time to stop public appearances. Paul McCartney is still delivering a high quality show. Unless your one of these guys that think they're going to see a 21 year old Paul. That's not realistic. Mick Jagger current shows speak for themselves. How does he do it is the question. Blue
  18. Thanks Sicbass, My ideal gig too. It doesn't always happen that way. Blue
