The Old Village Beer Depot Gig was pretty good. We had around 100 people show up. Daryl

Maybe being Friday night , beer and it's free will help. I think we're bringing the heavy artillery, sound and lights tomorrow night. I'm struggling with why a gig like this didn't hire out sound & lights? Daryl

Lol, Old Pic from last October. I don't know what to expect tomorrow night. We did this gig last year but it was backed up by some sort of WWII camp reenactment event. It's on the original Davidson home grounds. It's a big stage and I'm struggling with who would come out to see us in Menomonee Falls. I'm looking forward to our fall gigs. Daryl

We rented a big econo line van that day. I remember being halfway to the gig and announcing to the band I left my bass behind. Jenny was driving and and she looked at me and said ; " Well, we're not turning around and going back to get it." Lol Daryl

The band is sounding great and looking great Dave. Daryl

I only see toupees and wigs in pics or professionally shot videos with perfect lighting and camera angles.I would think they look different in real life? Daryl

I know what you mean. I've been a member of Bass Chat so long I feel like I do know some of you. The gig stories are fantastic. Most of the stories I can say " been there, done that". But nobody can top my Baraboo Blues Fest story when I forgot to bring my bass. Lol Daryl

Dave, At least for the material we do. I'm no longer a fan of technical drumming with fancy riffs and fills. Just keep the beat and tempo consistent and I'm good. Most of the time our drummer is only on the snare, high hat and the kick drum and I love it. Example attached. Agreed, and I'll bet no one who's had botox or any kind of work and walked into a room ever heard someone say " Hey look, a young person" lol Daryl

I could go all over the place with this one. I'm 70 and all my bandmates are in their 30s. I never mention or bring up anything relative to my generation. I figure at 70 and you can get a woman in her 30s to come within 5 feet of you you're doing good. Lol Daryl

Your drummer listens to bass? Sometimes I wonder how important bass is to the rest of the band. It seems like they're focusing for the most part on their own individual performance. Daryl
