Thanks Yeah, I noticed his harmonies but only in the clip. He does a nice job.When I'm playing I'm more focused on keeping the groove tight. I'm working on adding my own harmony to a few songs. I struggle with singing and playing bass at the same time. Blue

I saw a Youtube video that said the night life there was fantastic. It sounds great except for the cold. And I'm thinking it would have been great to have moved there when I was 29 instead of 69. Blue

Hi Pete, Your probably right. I've gone out with ladies that met me at gigs and they were excited in the moment. When we would go out on a date they were usually disappointed. Daryl

Interesting point. A few months ago I was approached by a pretty lady after a gig when I was packing up my gear. She introduced herself gave me a hug and her cell number. Where else but a gig would that happen to me? 😀 Blue

It's part of our job in my band. During breaks we're required to go out and chat with people and thank them for coming out and supporting us. After all there are plenty of other places those folks could have been. Going off and hiding in a corner by yourself during a break would not work with us. Blue

Agreed, I think I'm introverted most of the time. However, at gigs I get to be a different person for a few hours. Even during breaks when I'm chatting with people I'm charming and witty. When the gig is over and I'm back to normal life I'm very shy snd quiet. Blue

I only know two guys that have made a good living as pro touring performers. Going back to their High School days both were musically light years ahead of everyone else even back then. But here's the thing at a young age both were willing to take huge risks that most wouldn't take. So, I would say Pros are willing to take risks. Blue

What do you think about this? And I guess I'm bringing " Pro Opportunities " into the mix. Don't bands that have " Pro Opportunities " have an A List of players to call in most cases ? If you are not on that list your chances wouldn't be very good. Blue

I'm not sure we have a clear definition of Pro or if there is one. Here's a scenario : " We have an 8 week European tour booked. We liked you and we feel you'd be a great match for the tour. It pays $400 00 a week. Can you be ready to join us at the airport next week ? " It's not allot of money but understand allot of bass players don't make allot of $$$ on these tours. Me, I'm pensioner with nothing holding me down. My answer would be yes. In this scenario am I a Pro? Blue

Dave , Yeah we play the HD Museum allot. We have an " in " with the director. However, as you know all it takes is a change in management and your back to square one. Daryl
