Hi Pete, Good to hear from you. Yeah, I like you're plan for New Years Eve. I'm in New Jersey having a blast with 2 generations of family. However, Covid has thrown a few obstacles at us. I'll be back in Wisconsin in time for that 3-7 New Years Eve gig. Really, those early hours and short commute make all the difference in the world. Happy Holidays to you and you're family Pete. That's cool. I also play in two bands. Same members, however one offering is a 3 to 4 piece acoustic band. The other is a 4 piece electric blues rock band " Maple Road ". I've been really busy because the acoustic band is easier to book. Blue

I hope they have enough room for the bass player. We've played in small spaces and had to cut back on drums and PA gear. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Blue Jay. Blue

We had an acoustic gig on Saturday. The Tumble Rock Brewery. Good hours engaged crowd and good pay. We played a 2:00 - 5:00 set. Most important, we had fun. Blue

Love your commentary. I did the 65 gigs a year for a few years , probably 2009 - 2012. I couldn't do that now. Hope your auditions turn into something good. Blue

That sounds cool Dave, Very nice that you had a nice summer with some good giigs.gigs. Same for me, I really got spoiled. Decent festival slots , we opened for a " Headliner" at Shank Hall" , just higher end gigs with short hours and good pay. Plus, I didn't have to drive. They picked me up in the Maple Road van. I'm sure reality will set in soon. Are you still gigging the Gibson Thunderbird? Blue

Yeah, I get it. I guess part of my problem is I'm retired and at 68 I look at things differently now. I talk big about getting away from dumps and 4 hour night gigs. However, If I can add $600.00- $700.00 dollars to my monthly income I'm going to do it. 68, some might say, time to give it up and others will say, thank God I can still do this.
