  1. Nita also does a ton of clinics when she's not on the road with Alice. She has a deal with Ibanez. Then she has side gigs with the band Sound Check, which is The Alice Cooper band I'm not sure she takes her own money to fund that bus. Blue
  2. The acoustic division of Maple Road played The Harley Davidson Motor restaurant Saturday night from 5:30- 8:30. We play there once every 2- 3 months. We have a good relationship with Harley and they book us for several large sumner events. Great hours, great looking place, easy load in abd out. We play right in front of the bar which is also the route to the exit. Everyone has to walk by the band when they leave , so tips are fantastic . They have a very upscale crowd. My big joy was having a stage monitor that I could actually hear my bass. I could hear every note I played crystal clear. Blue

They send the band a check a few days prior to the gig. They comp drinks and right before the last set they take orders from the band for anything on the menu, also comped. I use to give you guys a hard time about comped food, but know I see the value to it. And OMG! state of the art clean huge bathrooms. Then we have those places that seem to go out of their way to make it difficult for bands Blue
  4. Nobody on that bus is a known brand or famous. I don't know how they can afford that bus or hotel rooms. I would bet they're playing small venues at $10.00-$15.00 per ticket. Blue
  5. I would love to be touring from town to town on that bus. I could do it with my band. I've known them for 9 years and they're top notch people and cool to be around Blue
  6. Your right Dave. Bass to a DI and DI to the main PA. Blue
  7. I need every cent of my gig money to supplement my pension. It's better than working part time at a store. Blue
  8. I was really good about keeping my cool about setting up and starting late because the tournament went late. Plus the tournament was partially responsible for the nice crowd. This is the second time I've done an acoustic gig in The ROAD HOUSE front bar. There were probably between 75 and 100 people in the bar. I think we all know when you get close to 100 people in a small bar it's dangerously packed. We we're booked for 3:00-6:00 3/23. We didn't start until 3:45. We played until 6. I go direct into the mains, we don't use any amps for acoustic shows. I couldn't hear myself and wasn't very happy with my playing. Blue
  9. Not until I retired at age 61. I guess that doesn't count. Blue
  10. I wonder how they can afford that tour bus. It must cost at least 1k a day to keep it on the road. Blue
  11. Agreed, eggs and kale sounds like a dangerous combination. Blue
  12. Why wasn't it in the cards for me. 1. Not good enough 2. Not enough commitment or smarts when I was young. Blue
  13. This is just stuff that gets me thinking how lucky some young musicians get. Keep in mind this is stuff I always wanted but was not in the cards for me. Nita's Tour Bus Nita In Action Blue
  14. Is taking your pants off in public a popular activity in the UK? Blue
  15. Well, we had to wait for a darts tournament to end before we could set up, we had a late start. The place was absolutely packed ,however I can't say they were fully engaged with us. Luckily we have enough hardcore fans to make up for it. My biggest problem was DI ing and not using an amp. I couldn't hear myself. Blue
  16. I'm playing with the acoustic division of Maple Road this afternoon at The Road House in Dundee. 3:00-7:00, yup 4 hours guys. Blue
  17. WOW! I love that white with gold trim. Blue
  18. You have to wear it low, real low. 😀 Blue
