  1. I don't like those things. There was a decibel meter at The Baaree. We're really not a loud band. The meter seems disrespectful to the band to me. Blue
  2. Nice video, looks like a great show. Blue
  3. Excellent! Blue
  4. Cool crowd pics. " Get Up And Party " Blue
  5. All I can say is we pulled it off. Respectful size crowd. Middle to Upper Middle Class folks. Surprisingly not very big tippers. Mostly singles. In Thiensville most folks are dropping 20s. We kept the stage volume low which was nice. 2 issues, number one it was cold and windy and number 2, I had a young lady accompany me and it was a little distracting. I'm usually solo at gigs. Couldn't get many pics this time. I wore a bright blue polo /golf shirt. Blue
  6. Dave, What a coincidence. I put up room darkening panels today. I don't think they're the answer. I should have gotten black out panels Daryl
  7. This Saturday Maple Road This Saturday 8/26 Zeigler Winery "Outdoor rockin' blues on Lake Winnebago @ Ziegler! We're thrilled to be playing this beautiful venue for the first time! Come enjoy some fantastic wine, (they have a great beer selection, too!) an awesome menu and a whole bunch of live music! Don't miss it! And we'll have Tim Sardina on drums." I'm looking forward to this gig. I've done acoustic stuff there before. This is the first time we're bringing the full Maple Road band. The grounds are beautiful. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Blue
  8. Dave, We haven't completely escaped late night gigs. It seems that way because we're in fair & festival season, where most gigs are outside with early hours. The winter months are another story. Daryl
  9. Nice crowd pic and they're had to get Blue
  10. Exactly, I was home before 9:00 Saturday night. A buddy of mine had a late night wedding gig, 9-1. He didn't get home until 2:30. Daryl
  11. Looks like it was a cool gig
  12. Any opportunities in your area to partner up with anyone to do duo or trio acoustic gigs in the winter? Blue

  18. I love playing my bass especially when I'm having a good night. However for me, there's nothing like playing and looking out at a sea of people dancing and having a great time. That's when I feel like I'm contributing to society. Blue
  19. Thanks Dave, We have a festival in Waterford on Saturday. It's a road trip for us and we rented a big van so we can travel together. It hasn't been easy, however it's been a fun summer Daryl
  20. We pulled it off. The dep guitarist did a fine job he was super nice guy. A few pics. Not the best but any pic is better than no pic. I enjoy looking at the band the pics everyone posts. These are just load in pics. Blue
  21. It'll be interesting. Our guitarist can't make it and we're using a dep. It's a " money grab" gig for me. I understand I have to be flexible. Agreed, no pressure. Blue
  22. Just in ! Any of you had to deal with short notice gigs? I received this message this morning. "Hey all, potential very last minute Maple Rd gig tomorrow night, Thurs. 8/17 for Music on Main in West Bend, 6:30-9:30. The band they had scheduled had to cancel do to illness. " Blue
  23. Cool pic! Blue
  24. Friday Night The Jazz & Blues Crawl was a success. This is the 19th year of the event. We had a great crowd closing the event at 9:00 at Wild Shots Pub & Grill. We had a dep drummer who was struggling. Pics 1. Strange load in 2. Band pics Saturday Afternoon Cancer Benefit outside at The Stillery with a 3:00 start. When I arrived all our gear was set up on stage covered with tarps as rain looked like a sure thing. The rain never came. Great sound on stage. Very cool crowd and we had our old drummer Tim who was brilliant. Jenny was great interacting with the crowd. We had a few fans that showed up for both shows. No pics. Blue Nice pay day gig.
