Agreed, the high point of the night was being approached by a lady who had seen me in the video shoot I did with Terry Sweet. The " Days Of Dyanna" video . She was very nice. My response; " I can see that it's hard for you to believe your actually standing here talking to me" 😆 Blue

I have to admit I don't miss working from 9-5 and going to play a gig straight from work. It's hard to believe I've been retired for 10 years. Blue

I'm old, if I was born 10 years earlier I'd have been playing with Benny Goodman. Lol Blue

I had a chance to be 20 again. But the stipulation was, when you go back you can't take what you know now with you. You'll be just as dumb as you were the first time . I turned down the offer. Lol 😆 Blue

I've made some bad band decisions over the years. But I made one excellent decisions 12 years ago. Blue

Two of my high school buddies bought one way tickets to London in 1973. One ended up in Brand X ( he's been with Billy Joel for the past 20 years ) that fusion band and the other with Bob Marley. Al is still leading The Original Wailers around the world. Currently touring with Joss Stone and Jethro Tull. Chuck is still with Billy Joel Blue

I learned to see the " red flags " with musicians very quickly. Working with good people over good musicians is the right way to go. If you can get both it's rare. Blue

Agreed again, if I was in a band that played progressive r&b and funk there wouldn't be many gigs. Not in this neck of the woods. Blue

I could never get the hang of singing and playing bass. It's held me back as well . I can get out a few background vocals but that's about it. Blue Blue

No regrets here either. At 70, I'm thankful I can get up, put my gear together and drive to a gig. My point is ,at my age good health beats out everything. It can be taken away from us in the blink of an eye. Blue

I wish I was more a part of the gig decision making process. I don't know why they take certain gigs and reject others. I'm a sideman, I guess it's none of my business. Blue

Me too, I would go the di route, no amp with the Kemper floor model. But I'm not sure how it would work for bass. Our guitarist uses a Kemper with no amp. He shows up at gigs with a back pack a guitar and a stand Blue

I get the whole meeting up with musicians with musical tastes closer to mine. Thing is, I have to be gigging, I'm one of the few that needs the money. A band with my musical tastes probably wouldn't get many gigs. Friends have told me: " Daryl ,your already in the best band for you" Blue
