  1. 46 years worth of dink’s, a very big belt buckle....sweat..... and fag smoke....
  2. She is a beauty, here she is with her nicely cleaned pickguard back in place, I don’t think it had been wiped down for 46 years 😳
  3. Awesome piece of kit, I have the 15 inch version, beige with brown leather trim, not something that should be sold once you’re looky enough to have one, although if you’re selling..............🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶
  4. Sold Mr T some strings, prompt payment and easy transaction, and I do have some more strings to sell 😬
  5. Since I just took the pickguard off to give it a good clean and get some gunk off, thought I’d provide a little more pornographic material....
  6. Ha yes, tecamp puma head, the three pin DI is totally dead, no signal at all, everything else is working perfect.
  7. DI on my amp is dead, any ideas on whether this could be a simple self fix or off to a techie?
  8. 2 celestial BN12-300s speakers 8 ohm, great condition, replacement speakers for your bass amp or project. £120 delivered to your door
  9. Funk band gig around Sheffield, Newark and Nottingham in need of a new drummer, regular gigs at good venues.
  10. IFor sale is a very good set of Labella 760FS Flatwound strings, I love these but in a straight shootout with the 760FL strings, the FL’s just edge it for me so I’m going string up all my basses with them. these also come with a spare E string, A string and G string. I somehow managed to break the D, so you are getting 1 3/4 sets of strings... yours posted for £25 not took these off yet, hence the bass in the photos which is not for sale 😁
  11. My string clear out continues, a set of 105 Chromes cut for Jazz bass in good condition, a little frayed on the silks but not bad. These have a little too much zing for me, prefer my labellas yours delivered for £20
  12. I want to like these strings, I’ve had them on and off, and on and off, and on and off, but despite sounding great they are just too flopp for me, I prefer the tension of my Laballas. The silks are a little frayed as a result of me keeping taking them on and off, strings themselves have not had a great deal of use. I've has these about a year but they have spent most of their time in a drawer. Cut for Fender Jazz. save yourself a few quid, £25 delivered.
  13. It’s a good price, I paid £3.5k for my 72 a Jazz bass from The aforementioned dealer...
  14. I keep looking at this and although he has dropped his price a little, it’s still seems as though it’s at top ££££ at the moment. I just realised that this is the 2x10 and not the 2x12, is there much weight difference between the two?
  15. Lovely bass at a cracking price, gotta love those 70s blocks
  16. Anyone tried these? I’m thinking of giving them a whirl to see what they are like, most of the reviews I’ve seen are pretty positive. never tried Dunlop strings before, do they make decent stuff?
  17. They do some great stuff, and a few dodgy covered too, but that’s to be expected given the amount of songs they churn out, we cover a couple of their covers too 🎵🎶🎵
  18. I recently managed to pick up a Vintage Modified Squire Jazz bass from a local cash converters for what can only be described as a little loose change. I wanted a cheaper bass for those upcoming summer festivals where I didn’t want to leave my more expensive basses in unsupervised rooms with loads of other gear just waiting to be nicked... And crikey what a cracking bass this is, its condition is as new, not a mark on it, it’s light, beautifully finished, powerful, great sounding and great to play, a great sunburst, blocks and bindings in a maple neck, the tuners could be more substatial, but they are not bad....It does make you wonder about the “decreasing returns” principle when compared to more expensive basses, at what point do you get your best “bang for buck”, and is this price point changing as Indonesian and Korean factories are getting better and better at producing quality gear. The most I’ve paid for a bass is £3500, but that is a vintage jazz so not comparable, but I’ve played and owned pretty expensive basses over the years, and this makes you wonder at what point does the increasing quality become negligible. I currently have a USA Geddy Lee which is an outstanding bass, but new is about £1950, is it really worth over £1800 more than what I just paid for the Modified Vintage Squire??? I would be interested to hear from other people who have these and how they have found them.
  19. Seen it and been tempted, heavy beast but it has wheels...
