    Save your self a few quid on a brand new set of rotosound flats, after a couple of years love affair with these strings I have decided to go back to labella flats and have these brand new unopened packet going spare. £25 posted to your door.

    Superb tuner in excellent condition, only selling as I’m getting the mini pitch black as I’ve added to my pedal board and need some extra room. No box or power supply but runs off 9 volt battery or standard power supply. £30 posted to your door with a brand spanking new Duracell battery.

    I got a Two Notes Le Bass a couple of months ago and I’ve been hanging onto this trying to decide which stays and which goes. Both great pieces of kit, this wins on the programmable aspect with not having to worry about moving knobs etc once you have your sound in, both sound great with anything from a little grit to full on raw, but the Le Bass has a tube.... so it stays. excellent piece of kit with DI, powerfull preamp and three programmable channels to store your sounds, still boxed and excellent condition.

    Since I’m trying a few tapewound strings out I thought I’d shield the cavities since I will be losing out on the grounding, once she’s in pieces there some interesting photos of the wear.

    Yeah, tension is just too low for me, I have the D’Addario blacks on my other bass which I really like, they have quite a bit more tension than these, if the black LaBellas are the same tension as the whites then I’d be after some D’Addario. they were worth a go but just not for me, very similar tension to TI flats.

    Bought these last week but they are not for me, gigged with them last night but I prefer the D’Addario tapes. these have got about 2 hours playing on them

    Update This is not a cure for sticky flats, it was a shocking idea, my balls remained fresh and fragrant throughout the gig, however my fingers felt like they were playing sand paper all night, knacker lacquer is not for bass strings..... it’s for knackers....

    I’ve been a flat man for many years having gone through TIs, chromes, pyramids, roto 77, la Bella etc.... but never tried tapes and fancy giving them a go, what’s the deal, how do they feel / sound / tension/ what are the advantages / disadvantages and what brands to people like? all advice and guidance appreciated.

    When you say the EQ knobs off, do you mean at 12 o’clock or turned all the way back anti-clockwise?
