1. Alex bought a pedal from me. An absolute pleasure to do business with. Paid very quickly, good communication can't be faulted!
2. The Ganzers will be playing at the absolutely smashing Classic Rock Society this Saturday co headlining with The Room. Should be a good one! If any Basschatters are there please come up and say hello! http://www.classicro...nz-play-maltby/
3. Set of brand new Hotrod JB64 pick ups for a Jazz bass. These are built on the same machines and to the same specifications as the tremendous Wizard pick ups, Andy Blake passing on all his experience to the guys at Hotrod before retiring. Bought for a Japanese Jazz that has since left the building! Simple effective – old is best, dc for Bridge 8.6 k ohms with the neck coming in around 8.2 k ohms these pickups are a great replacements for vintage pickups or for those who want that vintage sound without ‘vintage costs’. Supplied with cloth covered cables and black covers. Plus p&p http://basschat.co.uk/topic/263609-zoom-ms60b/ Also a Zoom MS60B in another thread. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:193762]
4. Zoom MS60B awesome multistomp pedal with over 58 amps and effects. Does a great job of emulating classics stomps like the sansamp bass driver and popular amps like Aguilar, Ampeg etc. More compressors, octavers, chorus pedals than you can shake a stick at. Only selling as I have the B3 and the sounds are almost the same, though the MS60B allows you to chain 4 virtual pedals as opposed to the B3s 3. Great nick and I probably have the box somewhere. Plus p & p Also a set of brand new Hotrod JB64 pick ups for a Jazz bass in another sale thread. 5.
I made a wooden box for mine.
Thanks for the reply, luckily my Gator bag has been found before I attempted any woodwork.
6. Anyone know of a bag that would fit a set of roland pk5 bass pedals 560 x 425 x 122. I had a gator bag but wondering if there is anything else.
7. Well I reckon the pedal is a keeper, I was a bit worried it seemed to add a bit of distortion and noise at the start of my signal chain but I moved it to after the preamps but before the delays etc and it's great just adds a bit of punch. I'd really be interested in an HB/Joyo distortion but dunno which one will do for the bass.
8. +1 for the boss LS2, does the job. I bought a microbass and luckily enough the drive channel, which I use for my rick has much more output than the clean channel, which I use with a stingray. So by chance it solves the disparity in volume.
9. [sub]I have it on my board now. I think it seems quite a decent pedal but I just like a little compression.[/sub]
10. Looks pretty similar, not quite as nice, however, it must be the same! I thought I was onto something getting it cheap on ebay!
11. I have to say I'm not the most knowledgeable when it come to compression but so far it seems noise free and transparent. Being able to blend in your signal seems very useful also. I'm pretty pleased with it and it's very well made!
12. In think you set it up and close the flap and your settings are protected!
13. Really quite small!
14. Has anyone tried any of these? In particular the pipebomb compressor. http://www.joyoaudio.co.uk/JF-312-pipe-bomb-compressor
15.
Hah, small world -- pretty sure the person who sold this is my dad, unless someone else listed the same thing at the same time for the same price
Ha ha small world! He seemed to be a very decent bloke!
16. Don't really know much Nightwish (or in fact any) to be honest, but cheers I'll check them out! Have to say I'm totally digging the GT2, I'm not a big fan of the fuzz but it just seems to give me a bit more grit when I need it. Really quite good!
17.
Forty quid is a total bargain! If you see another one for this, let me know!
The benefits of work related boredom!
18. Cheers sounds Ideal, I just want something slightly different from my always on overdriven sound on my rickie and this could be the thing. I dunno how much these go for but 40 quid seemed quite reasonable.
19.
Yes, I used one of these with bass a couple of years ago. They sound really great live 'n' loud, you can set them up to give you a really nice grindy growl when you dig in, a bit like the Catalinbread SFT. Well worth spending time getting to know this box.
Thanks for the info, I'll try it in anger tonight. People mention low end loss but hopefully can be mitigated with EQ and a bit of blending.

Sansamp GT2

In a moment of extreme boredom at work I succumbed to the lure of gumtree and came across one of these pedals for £40. I noticed a few people had used the GT2 on the bass and the classic and para driver are not really just for bass so I decided to have a punt. Just had a go there through headphones into my ebs microbass' effects loop which allowed me to mix in clean bass. I have to say sounded good to me, a nice tubey overdrive and quite a grind when used in conjunction with the EBS' drive channel. If anyone has tried GT2 and has any tips let me know!
21. Great I've sent a mail to 4114.
22. An old thread I know but are these fdeck clones only battery powered like the original fdeck??
23. Anyone know where I can pick up musicman bass tuners? One of mine has been bent to feck! I reckon it was went it came flying out of the baggage carousel in Dublin!
