  1. Ironic that you are calling me out when Tim is one of the worst for point scoring posts. I've never known anyone else who can confuse their opinion with fact more!
  2. They couldn't. The average person on the street couldn't give 2 poops. Ask 10 musos though, as they are people who actually care about music, and you might get a different answer. Also - and this might shock some of you, they might even name some of the loads of women making an impact in music. Awesome, talented women in all fields and genres. They can wear what they like, call themselves what they like and what we should be doing is being cool and supportive, not being a bunch of old men shouting at clouds. I'm bored of sausage parties.
  3. I was just thinking that there was a considerable lack of Peavey content in this thread...
  4. From Wikipedia... DeTiger was born in New York City and grew up in NoHo, Manhattan,[6][7] the daughter of visual artist Jonny DeTiger. Her older brother Rex suggested the name 'Blu' when she was born and her parents went along with it.
  5. Can you explain this lack of respect? Is it because she is attractive? Or just that she is more successful than you? For reference, her name is her given name, not a showbiz nom de plume.
  6. I had one, also shouldn't have sold it
  7. I have two J bodied bass guitars, they both have the correct width (42mm) nuts as I also struggle with J necks. I also have a very early non-export PJ555 Boxer from Japan, it turns out that the first ones used a P profile neck too which worked out well for me!
  8. I'll be able to pay next Thursday (26th)
  9. My band, Aimless Arrows, have stepped in to replace one of the acts who couldn't make it to this. Some talented people in one of our favourite venues, what's not to like?
  10. I admit I was expecting this to be ok, but the above thoughts definitely crossed my mind!
  11. I find the B3K very capable, can be set to a mild drive or something a lot more grunty
  12. Proper punk this.. I had a woman ship I took her overseas She left her hull unlocked I had to find a dock I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea We didn't use cruel words To navigate cruel seas The wind was biting hard At times I had to scream I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea And when we reached the land We went aground on the rocks Became a wreck in the sand Became a home for a flock We ventured overland Fought with the aliens The young ones used their hands Pointed the way to a flock A flock of seagulls! A flock of seagulls! Then we retraced our steps Rebuilt the woman ship I took her back up north I lost her in the fog I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler on the sea I was a toiler I was a toiler I was a toiler On the sea On the sea I was a toiler I was a toiler On the sea I was a toiler A toiler A toiler
  13. We got given those! I recently purchased the subs and they are a matching set 🙂
  14. Given my activity last night I would be interested in this... My new stereo is a bit much!
  15. JJB on prog https://www.loudersound.com/features/jj-burnel-stranglers-caravan "There are songs we’ve done over the years that could be seen as prog – and I wouldn’t deny it"
  16. One of my first favourite bands - I still have the family copy of Black and White which I played to death, and a good chunk of my first paypacket was spent on Rattus. I'm sure I heard JJB say that he thought they were quite prog in an interview a while ago, I can definitely see it 🙂
  17. Some songs suit different techniques for sure. We have one in our set list I've never been happy with, tried it with a pick yesterday and it suddenly all fell into place.
  18. Can a band be considered stoner if they aren't high? To answer the original question - drugs might not make someone a better player, but having a good time might 😀
  19. Hi fella, I'm sorry but I really am unsure what model mine is. It's a fretless with the remains of some shiny silver paint and black hardware! By far the lightest bass I own, its sat in my project rail awaiting some love.
  20. I use Dava Control picks, they have a thin section so you can alter the stiffness by rolling your fingers down the pick. Look em up, they are fab!
