  1. If you were nearer you'd be welcome to borrow mine, I'm near Trowbridge in Wiltshire however.
  2. Did you get an oversized sofa before you had an oversized collection of oversized bass guitars?!
  3. I think you need to mix hot air and bullsh!t
  4. Well, YOB-ish to be fair! Thanks though
  5. I have one, but prefer the Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive.
  6. Wow, thanks @Bassassin - that's some amazing info! It's a properly nice bass, not just well made but also a credit to it's former keepers.
  7. I purchased a lovely Ibanez P bass from Jon ( @Bassassin ) and it arrived incredibly quickly, was very well packaged and accurately described. I am a happy man
  8. This beauty arrived today, a 1972 (possibly 73 but it's impossible to be sure, it's close enough for me) Ibanez P bass. Purchased from @Bassassin it's fabulous! Plays like stuff you spread on a crumpet, sounds great and apart from ashtrays is all original. I've taken off the pickup cover as it gets in the way but will probably leave the bridge cover on. I hadn't planned on playing it much as I have plenty of other choices but it is so nice to play that I may struggle with that!
  9. There's always Radiodread by the Easy Star All-stars, a candidate for the curve ball covers thread too.
  10. Sometimes they are worth the gamble - I recently picked up a rare Hohner B2AV for somewhere between 1/4 and 1/5 of it's value with no strings. £50 and around an hours work and it's virtually faultless.
  11. I do like a bit of Polly Jean Also liking this atm
  12. Colin Furze is a legend. Absolute mentalist mind, but a legend nonetheless.
  13. RBX765A, Indonesian made but the high end version. It's consistent and has good pickups, I think the preamp could be better but it's not bad.
  14. My dad was bass player in a band called 25 Views of Worthing, but quit playing many years ago. My brother is a pro sound engineer and I dabble with bass, guitars and mixing tunes.
  15. I have loads of bass guitars but nearly always end up using my Yamaha 5er - it just works well playing anything.
  16. 46. Listen to 6 Music mostly and have been introduced to some great new music via that medium. Also friends recommendations, this forum and video games have all been sources of good stuff. I love new music, sometimes irrationally so!
  17. Not necessarily - I like some of the old-school stuff like Digital Underground and the like. And Beastie Boys of course.
  18. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Relax-Bass-Player-Here-T-Shirt/dp/B07BHQFWSD I have this one
  19. A proper baritone would have a longer scale too I would have thought.
