  1. I am not a fan of Jazz profile necks, but love the body and pickups. I have an Allen Eden Jazz which has a P neck, and will be making another bitsa soon with a P neck as well - all black hardware and a black guard on a natural wood body.
  2. Both excellent players, @NancyJohnson
  3. Did your set include I Just Called to say I Love Ewe? Or maybe Shear Heart Attack?
  4. I'm sorry but that left me cold, apart from having all of the pedals on at once there isn't really much in the way of playing going on.
  5. Agreed, although I haven't met many singers who were that worried about the distinction
  6. I think of vocalist as the catch-all term for someone who uses their voice as part of a musical performance. Not all vocalists are singers, but all singers are vocalists
  7. Frank Bello is a legend, and Anthrax are by far the most politically astute yet also funny of the so called big four.
  8. The best thing about that album is Devin Townsend.
  9. Surely if your active bass isn't working with a pedal simply turn the gain down!
  10. It's not tobacco smoke, I have a strat copy here that has lived in a non-smoking teenagers bedroom for a long time and that has loads of yellowing. I think it's more UV damage than anything else.
  11. Interesting that he uses the term distressed - I expect it probably is!
  12. We do, but ours are quite a bit smaller
  13. I have a MIJ Jazz Bass Special with P/J and they are completely even.
  14. I think some setups are more forgiving than others. When you take adjustment to the edge of what's possible it doesn't take much to push them over that edge. Obviously instrument quality has a part to play, my Yamaha 5er is very consistent
  15. My eBay bitsa Precision is dreadful at the moment, but I figure I may as well leave it until things cool off as it may well settle back down.
