  1. Have to agree with you there, Bassbod's has made me think about switching to roundwounds on my 4-string fretless
  2. Was that the Status that I tried Jim? That was amazing
  3. I can only echo the sentiments expressed above - a fantastic effort by all the Scrumpies and Scrumpettes. Great food was much appreciated, special mention to the frittata which was amazing! My GAS hasn't diminished, unsurprisingly - my want list has a few new additions after today. Big thanks to all who allowed me to try some of their really quite excellent bass guitars. It was great to meet you all
  4. There's actually 3 substitutions in the radio version of Peaches - bummer becomes summer as you say. Oh sh*t becomes Oh no, and the word bikini replaces clitoris bizarrely.
  5. I meant to update this. No changes except that I now have a choice of genuine Fender hardcases to transport this in and I have been playing it. I did a bit of research too - the serial number on the neckplate combined with it being A09.. makes it a Japanese market model, so may have travelled a bit
  6. It's cool I wasn't offended Close - it's a PJ 555, but is a JDM model.
  7. Thanks, cheap and cheerful mostly! Proper fixings are essential, mine are fixed to rock-hard stone walls with double wall plug depth holes and really long screws.
  8. If nothing else a PJ gives you more places to rest your thumb when playing, so giving you more tonal options.
  9. Ah Swedemason, he's a clever dude. I like this one
  10. It's also worth noting that batteries should be removed before putting a bass into storage as they can leak over time.
  11. I have another 51P style bass for sale + a Cort Curbow and a Hutchins Thunderbolt Tele-style. All in the classifieds at the moment.
  12. I voted yes btw, nothing wrong with a Squier at all. I started playing bass around 1988 when they were still cheap!
