  1. We are writing a song about the dangers of too much reverb. This shows the dangers perfectly. Sung in the style of Tom Waits - it's called Wookey Hole!
  2. And sold! Barely used, approx 2 hours only. Boxed. Price includes UK postage.
  3. Joyo XVI Octave for sale. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, decided I didn't like it and put it back in the box! Has had approx 15 minutes use. Price includes UK postage.
  4. Now sold! MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, all works as it should. A few small knocks, pedal only - no box or power supply. Selling due to upgrade. Price includes UK postage.
  5. Roisin Murphy was amazing. Loved the New Orleans procession style beginning 🙂
  6. I wasn't bothered but turned over to see how bad it is... Awful, it's really awful. She is completely tone deaf by the sounds of it. One should never judge a festival mix straight away however, it's a different game to normal live production.
  7. This is a proper bargain, surprised it hasn't sold.
  8. My first ever actual board! I have some better patch leads on the way which will help them sit a little tidier. I'm undecided on the CS-3 as it's noisy. The Digitech pedal bottom right is connected to my TCE combo with 2 Tone Prints so may just use a Spectracomp on there instead and then maybe pop an Ashdown Lomenzo Hyper Drive in place of the CS-3. Toying with a chorus for the other Tone Print. The expression pedal toggles 2 different setups on the Poly Blue Octave. I'd be interested in suggestions for the signal path - it's currently Q-Tron - Octave - CS-3 - Le Bass.
  9. I saw Vola support Devin Townsend at the RAH - deliberately didn't listen to them beforehand either. I was blown away - they are properly good, proof that you don't need to play fast to be heavy. These Black Claws is a track I particularly like 👍
  10. Luckily it's usually quite warm so exposure isn't normally a problem. Oh, wait...
  11. My cohorts and I have always called it Pilton anyway. I used to work there but haven't for a while. Not since I stopped being willing to do it for free funnily enough.
  12. Last weekend was Friday practice - good, Saturday gig - really good and Sunday practice/recording - absolutely terrible!
  13. Afternoon gig in a town market yesterday. Our fourth one together, and was really quite excellent performance-wise. Sadly only two microphones on stage so I had to project loudly over my bandmates left shoulder!
  14. Aimless Arrows are playing at Weavers Market, Trowbridge on the 11th of June at 2pm. Come check us out if you are in the locality 👍
  15. I saw these guys in my favourite pub at the weekend. Really bloody good!
  16. This was what I was expecting 🤣
  17. ^^ Also interested to know this as I think these may come in handy for our band.
  18. There's definitely a right string for every bass - I have NYXL on my Allen Eden Jazz and it sings. My Yamaha 5-string sounded kind of lifeless with them but Regular Slinkies made it come alive!
