The man is clearly a fantasist and a chancer. He has 4 of his own builds on Reverb however not one of them is actually finished. They say allow 14 days (28 for the miles from finished 7 string) for shipping, which is a funny word for hastily finish before I spaff your money on something else. He has almost certainly convinced himself by now that it's actually your fault you don't have a bass and he is doing you a favour by cobbling this one together. @Burns-bass idea is a good one, you have it in writing from him that he owes you money 😉 Conveniently the 2 most resellable items on his Reverb page weren't made by him, and total almost exactly £1500 😀

It very much depends on the individual situation. I will offer less if I think it is a reasonable offer. If I'm selling, then one thing guaranteed to stop the deal is the "What's your best price?" question. I switch off at that point.

I saw them in Birmingham on Thursday, I'm far from being their biggest fan (that prize goes to the girlfriend) but I was blown away with what a good show it was. The live bass sound is properly beefy, and he also fills a lot of space when the guitar gets a bit solo-y

They were just right volume-wise for me, no after effects at all luckily as I had left my earplugs in the car. They really are very good, I was impressed!

I saw Tool in Birmingham last night. Never saw them before, they were bloody excellent! Justin Chancellor's live sound is monstrous and not completely swamped by over-loud kick drum like most these days No photos, of course. I'm a fan of their ban policy, it makes for a more enjoyable gig experience.
