It is exactly that, just a minor intonation adjustment that can be achieved with a standard bridge and any tuner that shows cents.
There's a table here that shows the tuning.
I enjoy listening to him! A favourite moment came when he was standing in on the breakfast show on 6
"That was The War on Drugs there. I was down at Glastonbury Festival last weekend - I think they lost that particular battle!"
The very same, I reckon it will be good. I think the sound will suit an 8. There is quite a bit of room on the headstock, but my fat fingers would prefer a bit more width on the fingerboard which is why I was thinking of a 5-string neck.
Thanks @NancyJohnson that's great advice 👍
I'm looking at converting a certain yellow Thunderbird - just need to find a suitable 5-string neck. I was looking at Spector necks but I'm not keen on going to 35" scale.
I'm looking at turning one of my bass guitars into an 8-string, using a 5-string neck with a new nut. Does anyone know of a properly adjustable bridge (with individual saddles) that doesn't cost the earth?
The only one I can find is this one but it will double the spend if I buy it!
