  1. I'm really not a fan of autotune but the rest was properly impressive, I'd actually like to hear what you guys sound like without it. I've seen a few of your play through vids - you are clearly a great player which is borne out by taking this on. Good work πŸ‘
  2. Except the two that already have! Including the very first post in the thread πŸ˜‚
  3. I purchased a bridge, it was posted the same day! Thanks Lawrie πŸ‘
  4. Two of those are quite successful bands, I roadied for The Commitments on numerous occasions.
  5. It looks like the beginnings of a fake vintage job?
  6. I've played though @Frank Blank's rig - I was properly impressed. I couldn't believe how well it filled the hall at the SE Bass Bash.
  7. You don't see many 5ers, nice πŸ™‚
  8. I have no idea what I'm bringing yet, I have this lot to choose from!
  9. There's a mildly butchered Ned Callan on FB marketplace in Bristol for Β£150.
  10. Relentless Doppelganger - a non stop stream of AI death metal.
  11. I was thinking that - you've paid, why cancel? You might have a great time πŸ‘

So do you think that Glenn Frey, Chris Squire, Paul McCartney and Lemmy were just doing it for the cash? That's a pretty distinctive group in my opinion. Unlike a lot of bass manufacturers it seems to be quite difficult to get a signature Ric.

Some of the posts in this thread serve to prove that one shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Al Cisneros is part of a pretty elite group as Ric have only ever released five signature model bass guitars - he is number 5.
  14. I don't know for sure - it came with them fitted. They look like D'addario going by the ball end colours and have dark blue silks. I'm quite heavy handed, but haven't noticed any unusual clanking.
  15. It's worth noting that she is definitely using compression, that can help get a 'tight' slap sound.
  16. I have loads to choose from, but two of my favourites are a bitsa P I put together from bits I got on eBay and a Vintage V94 fretless with Rotosound Funkmasters on it. Very much the bottom end value wise. An Encore LTD 83 with flats is also surprisingly good, definitely the best Encore I've played πŸ‘
  17. Nuno is a great guitarist, but I was having a decent stab at playing Yankee Rose on the bass within a few weeks of picking it up. It's hardly a challenging piece!
  18. I've not seen Susan Boyle on the bass, is she any good? πŸ˜‰
