  1. This guy is taking it too far... https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/super-rare-peavey-milestone-1-usa-jazz-bass-1989.-law-suit-model.-huge-upgrades/1356862314
  2. The weight is charged in bands - up to 10kg, up to 20 etc. My recent quote for typical bass sized packages there was a €0.14 increase from 10 to 20 for a domestic UK shipment before discount. I booked mine on Friday, collection was Monday, delivered Tuesday - €14.12 was a bargain.
  3. Quite. Also, taken from his Wikipedia page... Tyron Kaymone Frampton (born 18 December 1994),[1] better known by his stage name slowthai (stylised in lowercase), is a British rapper from Northampton.[2] He rose to popularity in 2019 for his notoriously gritty and rough instrumentals and raw, politically charged lyrics, especially around Brexit and Theresa May’s tenure as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Maybe folks on here just aren't listening?
  4. Pretty sure Iggy did the dancing in your pants thing long before FNM and the Chilli's were around. Just because someone has done something before doesn't preclude anyone else from doing it. It's art, self expression and should be given the space and freedom to exist. The folks digging Slowthai have never heard of any of the pants wearing predecessors and wouldn't be interested if you tried to show them. That was 30 years ago and has no relevance to the youth of today.
  5. I just got back from seeing the Neville Staple Band at the Cheese and Grain in Frome. A fantastic show, loads of energy and plenty of crowd pleasers (although Ghost Town wasn't the same without Terry Hall's mournful tones and needed the low parts too - I'm really nit-picking here though!) It must have been good, I've sung myself hoarse!
  6. Like it or not, Slowthai speaks for many people. Michael Kiwanuka - I find his vocal delivery really grates on me, but do appreciate what he is trying to say. Musically decent though 👍
  7. He's just a troll who likes an argument, as previously admitted. As to MDP - people have tried to offer genuine advice, he doesn't take it well. The guy is clearly not the full ticket.
  8. It's the Australian equivalent.
  9. This surprises me, although to be fair it is more of a Scottish phrase.
  10. I've been trying to sell this bass for ages, for an absolute pittance. I'm not giving it away as it's too nice, so I'm keeping it... everyone else's loss is my gain! So in the last 20 minutes I've swapped the neck and the bridge - it's now an absolute peach. I'll let it settle overnight and give the setup a final tweak in the morning, but it's already almost perfect (apart from the pickup alignment). 🙂 Spec is:- Unknown (but very light) body. Kmise neck with extra fret overhang. Genuine Fender tuners. Kent Armstrong pickup with good quality solderless loom. Wilkinson bridge with brass saddles.
  11. Thanks, that confirms my suspicions... And he didn't even answer your question!
  12. Is there a reason why there isn't a section for weird things on other websites? Genuine interest, not trying to stir things up 👍
  13. Amyl and the Sniffers are a bit crap but at least they don't take themselves too seriously unlike the Mancunian monkey. I had to turn over once he got up to his badly adjusted mic stand and started whining. Kojey Radical and band sounded good.
  14. The writing on the back of the headstock reveals this info 👍
  15. I reckon £150 is a great deal, looks very professional. A great way to promote your band 👍
  16. Eat Static grew out of the Ozrics, so I figured I was on safe ground 😉
  17. Yamaha NS10 are very revealing, but also quite tiring to listen to for any length of time. They are a long way from flat.
