  1. I just recently tweaked the setup of an Encore Ltd83. It had too much relief, high action and choked out on the dusty end. The truss rod was rattling too. I've removed the shim, tightened the truss rod and with no other adjustments it's transformed. Action is good and barely any buzzing. No truss rattle now either. In conclusion, a shim isn't always helpful. 👍
  2. One thing I can't work out is the tuners, surely angling them like that only moves the furthest ones further away?
  3. Noted 👍 Might have to give that a try...
  4. Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive is a great budget choice. If you shop around you can pick one up for under £50
  5. I saw The Blunders, whose members include a couple of guys I've known for 30-odd years. They were most enjoyable, you should check them out!
  6. I had nothing to do with it, honest! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-49856320
  7. It also helps people come back after injury, and helps those with grip problems too. These are far better features than the twirling, in my opinion.
  8. I love it too 👍 I have the album on vinyl 😎
  9. Chad Smith killing it, as usual 👍 such a good drummer
  10. Seems like a cool idea. Although I'm a little disappointed as I was expecting a Phil Collins track.. 🙂
  11. I like worn in round wounds on a fretless too 👍 I find flats just a bit lifeless.
  12. Quite, do it a bit at a time as you can't put material back. It's also worth noting that if you fully tension the string in too narrow a slot then the nut may crack.
  13. There's next to no difference in tension, the nut slot widths needing to be changed is the main issue. They don't tend to sound the same as a 5 due (I assume) to the lack of extra wood.
  14. That's a bit better than the £11k+ Fender!
  15. Is this the reduction in bureaucracy the Leave campaign were promising?
  16. My '85 Jazz Bass Special doesn't.
  17. Tomorrow Never Knows was the Chemical Brothers manifesto. Fabulous track.
