  1. Could some kind of simple red light system to signify no noise periods be a solution?
  2. I'm selling a GK cab on eBay, £50 start price. I get an offer for £45 from a zero feedback user. Declined and suggested they hadn't quite grasped the concept. Instantly get an offer of £50. Declined that and now I get an offer of £75, anyone care to bet on the likelihood of me actually receiving that if I accept the offer? (I'm not going to, by the way)
  3. Alice Cooper claimed he used to send Mary Whitehouse flowers as her dislike of him actually increased their exposure.
  4. That's because, in Mr Read's world at least, it's ok to be a racist xenophobic bigot but not ok to be gay.
  5. I don't think this was the same version, it was Andy Scott on guitar. A bit of research suggests that the bass player was Jeff Brown. I wonder if he still uses orange Tortex?
  6. Many years ago I was part of the PA crew for a Sweet gig, which was in reality only the original guitarist. He had a massive ego and was quite unpleasant. The bass player used orange Tortex picks, which I had tried but stopped using because they kept breaking. He must have snapped at least half a dozen, each time brandishing the remains at his band mates as if to demonstrate what a double hard bastard he was. No mate - you're just using the wrong picks.
  7. How about this double whammy? A C&W cover of a rap tune, and widely credited erroneously to Phish and Les Claypool.
  8. Well that's a slightly different issue! Sockets can loosen and need the contacts bending in, again quality matters too.
  9. Welcome to baseballbatchat.co.uk, try to avoid politics and religion and you'll be just fine.
  10. It's very funny 👍 The contrast between the original vocals and the jazz instruments is subtly brilliant, and for me actually highlights the vitriol.
  11. The Tithe Barn in Bradford on Avon, so long and thin the slap back feels like you can measure it in whole seconds.
  12. Maybe they are looking for someone resourceful?
  13. I have a bg250 208 as well, it's amazing how much noise (and depth) can come from a couple of 8s.
  14. If my bandmates started telling me which frets to use I'd be taking my bass off and handing it to them with the suggestion that maybe they should play it instead!
  15. I have some that are years old. Are you buying decent ones? Also are you standing on them? Do you coil them neatly and not too tight with a velcro securing loop?
  16. It's really easy to link stock control with EPOS, with no need for manual input.
  17. Pull the speaker lead before you switch off? 😁
  18. Paging @stewblack He has an ingenious trolley arrangement.
