It wasn't a conscious decision on my part - I was really close to selling my one remaining bass not that long ago. Instead I spotted something on eBay that I thought was cheap for what it was, then another on Gumtree and it all spiralled out of control! I've just moved so this is what they look like now...

I like the challenge of playing with phosphor bronze strings - it really makes you work on your left hand technique and right hand muting. I have a Tenson Jumbo which is loud!

Much like old cars, it's very difficult to predict what will be a secure investment. 30 years ago early 70s Fenders weren't that valuable whereas Gibsons were much more popular. Now the reverse is true.

Thanks for your input @BobVbass I would be interested to know your take on this if you do get to see the offending post - given the information on here it does seem like a bit of an overreaction but there may be some background? In the spirit of cards on the table - I am gender comfortable, but was in a relationship with someone born IS who technically transitioned at a young age ( more a case of corrected her gender). I'm still friends with her and have a passing interest in these matters.

This is a question I have had to ask myself recently. The answer being that quite often the bass being sold stupidly cheap is a bit of a gamble - if it turns out to be scrap then it may not even be worth the stupid price. If however it turns out to be ok then I have sold on at the low end of fair pricing if it's not something I want to keep.

That sounds pretty much perfect to be fair!

I purchased a Jazz body from Aidan - everything was good 🙂

I'm interested to see this - if I had to pick one out of my 20 or so it would be my fretted 765a. If I had a fretless as well I could probably get rid of the rest!
