  1. Woah, that is an oddity! I forgot to mention my B2AV - that's quite unusual.
  2. How did it sound when you finally played together?
  3. A fleet of interesting cars and a barn to put them in!
  4. Another one in the 'want but no funds' camp here. It's my YOB too, and I don't yet own a Gibson.
  5. To continue the thread - a band I was in during the early nineties playing fast and heavy covers auditioned a singist. He really looked the part - tall and dark skinned with a magnificent mane of black hair. Unfortunatley the second he tried to sing the first number - Born to be Wild, it was obvious he plainly couldn't. No sense of timing, unable to find his place in the song and the weirdest vocal style. Imagine a bad version of Ian Astbury from the Cult crossed with a bad version of Hendrix with a bad version of Phil Lynott mixed in for good measure. Truly awful.
  6. That's a terrible tale @Roger2611! But you shouldn't blame yourself, or let your songs suffer for it. You were quite positive towards him considering.
  7. I've a few rare ones - left to right are an Allen Eden Jazz bass, never seen another and Google will only find images of mine. Fender MIJ Jazz Bass Special from 1985, A-serial number Japanese domestic market import with a P profile neck not J profile like the export model. Ibanez P copy from 1972/3, not many of these around either. Crap photo unfortunately!
  8. Christmas Time by The Darkness is my favourite Christmas song by miles
  9. I think you missed my point - these are all identical items, the only difference is the price.
  10. I change all the time, it's not a problem for me. 4 or 5 strings, frets or fretless I am equally ham-fisted on all of them!
  11. I picked up a '69 Kay recently - it's not great but this seller had a sensible idea as to it's value.
  12. Those inlays look fantastic! Do you think they will have much effect on the sound?
  13. The maison is actually slightly different, however the 'strings in a straight line from the nut' look is still desirable.
  14. Not quite Excuse the string ends - this one is still in the project pile!
  15. I really don't care - I'm not doing it for anything other than enjoyment.
  16. Good luck with that! Iconic band though - sound as fresh today as they ever did. Talk about standing the test of time.
