  1. It's definitely from 1969 - week 21 I reckon!
  2. It's a Peavey with a 'custom' paintjob - plays fantastic, worth bugger all!
  3. That looks just like this one @Highfox!
  4. Har thanks all! Don't get me wrong - it's not my new gigging bass but given the (extremely) low expectations I had it's not that bad. I paid wall art money for it so that's where it will probably stay, unless I specifically need a proper vintage tone for a recording or somesuch.
  5. I think it fits in just fine
  6. It's still here @Grangur! Didn't think it would be so difficult to pass on tbh... In other news - just noticed the Kay has a zero fret!
  7. Thanks for the info - it's clearly a budget instrument but it plays ok - the action is a bit high and the strings sound about 30 years old but it's actually not bad! Truss rod still works too. It's light, and I now know how old it is.
  8. Just picked this up, does anyone have any idea what it is?! Any clues as to it's value other than not very much? It's an old Kay obviously given the logo on the pickplate and the body is plywood but other than that I have very little idea...
  9. He has been a guest on the Radcliffe and Maconie show on 6Music - a really entertaining and funny man.
  10. Not many PB555 around @matski
  11. Surely if you get paid cash you've nothing to worry about?
  12. I'm pretty sure it's Wynne - she married Ed Wynne from the Ozrics.
  13. Very cool (if not slightly excessive)
  14. I'm happy to help with that again Richard
  15. My eyes!
  16. Likewise!
  17. If Stradivari made bass guitars...
  18. It's no problem to stay here until then - I should have time to take some more photos at least
  19. If we can manage to keep the comments about her bass playing it might encourage more female players to join. Jus' sayin' (I really like a Yamaha too)
  20. It's in Trowbridge, Wilts. I am happy to drive for an hour or so if it helps
  21. Bump! Someone must want a go - within an hour's drive of Trowbridge, Wilts?
  22. She looks to have learned it on a 4er - she doesn't play the B string once. Nice playing tho
  23. That's a strange looking beast alright.
  24. Agreed, I have one and it's excellent.
