    Feedback for ikay

Sold Ian some P bass pickups in a nice & easy going deal. Payment received within minutes and he gave me a shout when they arrived safely. Basschat as it should be thank you 👍
  3. @uk_lefty….what Hipshot did you stick on ?
  4. My latest 👍….. was looking at adding a Hipshot Xtender but can’t seem to find one.
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/earlpilanz Give Brian a shout…you may have to send him the original guard to copy. He’s done a few 1 off plates for me from drawings and holes removed or added that kinda thing
  6. Pickups sold…Bridge available….FREE just stick some smash in an Alzheimer/ Dementia charity tin and I’ll send it.
  7. Ach not far from me, I’d have come said hello
  8. Looks like the inside of Methil Club ?
  9. Who was it on here that sold me his 210 cab & wanted it back again ? Only asking as I’m sticking it up for sale and wondered if you wanted 1st dibs
  10. And stuck on 🙂….tug bar 🤮 I’ll have the aluminium version hopefully on by the weekend. I also took the sheen of the front & wiped on several coats of wax….it’s like Andrex toilet paper when I could afford to buy it it’s really smooth. Pickups well according to Hosco the bbt has 20 mm spacing so I’ll probably go for closed covers or Nord’s blade type nowt worse than strings not aligned wi poles….that’s just me tho.
  11. Ok finally got round to fab up another control plate, tried to follow the body contours using some template paper but it really wasn’t getting there…..so I made another bell plate bought another small sheet of fleece backed veneer & et viola 👇. Got some 1/2” aluminium bar to make a tug bar as I don’t like the one that’s on the body just now. I’ve got the bridge on the body it’s a Hosco bbt using Fender threaded saddles….dunno what happened to the Hosco saddles must have used them I think. Next will be a neck from guitarbuild so feel free to chime in wether a rose wood or maple board….I’m not sure.
  12. Smashing that 👍 similar dusty end as a Sandberg 48
  13. Aaaaaa the penny’s dropped, only ever seen one & its black with white binding.
  14. Not sure on this really, the darker veneer just doesn’t seem to fit in….maybe it’s overkill with the darker tug bar too. 😕
  15. 🤔 neither can i. Maybe its been put in the wrong spot
  16. GuitarBuild.co.uk have several necks available online around the 250 - 400 mark. Sure the necks are minus a nut & a finish also note the heel size….maybe worth firing them in an email and asking what they can do.
  17. Plate done, actually done two…one using a 4mm strip of pine & stuck the veneer on using an iron, the other some UHU glue onto the aluminium plate & clamped it up. Roasted a 10mm drill shank up and fired it thru the holes.
  18. Smashing that 👍 the chequered binding really makes it pop. Did you rattle it up yourself ?
  19. Think the control plate would have to be a bit thicker maybe 4 or 5 Mr Plug….don’t mind knocking one up & taking it from there. Let’s see the rest of the bass 👆 with your cover on it please
  20. @PaulThePlug….Mini tele plate... Maybe in wood to match the fretboard, Rosewood ? I like that idea bud 👍…. I wonder if 2 or 3mm thick would do the trick ?
  21. & finito. The only daft thing I done being a bit heavy handed with the pencil sticking a back mark on….no bad for five 20mm flappers and a pistol drill.
  22. Flappers doing the trick in opening up the route 👇 that’s roughly 20 minutes all in & still using the 1st flapper, plenty time tho. Don’t know why the route was only 25mm originally 🤔
