All Parliament / Funkadelic songs are about having sex, or, trying to persuade somebody to have sex... while wearing an enormous hat and/or adult nappy.

Aye, RB. Imagine this:
Girl, you really got me goin', you got me so I don't know what I'm doin'.
Fill from Car Wash
Yeah, you really got me now, you got me so I can't sleep at night.
... Fill from Car Wash!
Etc
ð
Good, isn't it?
I suppose it wouldn't be the same without the (what I assume is) Zack de la Rocha isolated vocal track. Therefore it's probably not really a cover...
I love Kinga GÅyk's music too (been watching her output on YT for some time), although I don't like that drummer in your link above! Subjective, though that is. ðŽ
Naw, 99% of those are playing over the original. I'm not saying the YTers aren't any good (I'm sure they are), but it's flattering to mix yourself over a track where the original bass player is there playing just under you.
Listen to a few famous isolated bass tracks to feel better. ð
This thread has changed my mind a lot. I didn't like them. Now I still don't like them, but I like their songs better than I did (as long as somebody else is performing them).
Nobody should care about that other than me.
I might buy a set of #13th notes for my bass so I can jam along with it a bit. ð
