  1. ...back when I was younger with longer hair, and was an Argentinian doctor!
  2. 5 years in the navy, 6 years in electronic manufacturing (high end hi-fi), professional revolutionary for a year, 5 years at uni studying law, now a criminal defence solicitor - I have a CV that reads like a series of handbrake turns and have given up any hope of getting that big musical break! Fascinating to see the range of occupations on here.
  3. Thanks for all of your suggestions. I haven't used any loopers before and wasn't sure whether swapping the lead would be feasible. I suppose I'll just jump in with the looper first, and look at splitters if I find swapping a fuss - or play chords on bass! Cheers all.
  4. I'm currently in the market for a loop pedal, primarily for home practice, and looking for some advice. Ideally I'd like something which can handle two instruments, so that I can loop a chord progression on guitar and play along on bass. As far as I can tell that rules out the boss rc-3, which is a shame as I think the built in drum samples would be helpful. The electro-harmonix 720 appears to do what I need, but doesn't have the drum samples of the rc-3. What do you use, and do you have any advice or further suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Hi, I'm John. I recently got back into playing after many years and have set about learning properly this time. I've had an aria pro II since the late 90s, and picked up a used genz-benz shuttle 3-10 as an upgrade to my practice amp (and replacement for the ampeg I sold a few years ago). I also recently treated myself to an Epiphone Jack Casady (20th anniversary model in wine red - lovely!), strung with rotosound jazz flats. Been lurking on here for a bit, so thought I should register and introduce myself. Lots of helpful information on here, you lot really seem to know your stuff. cheers, John
