Great sounding and playing bass this! I owned it for about a year back in 2009.. Two of those photos are mine from when I sold it to uzzel. Only reason I sold it was it's a 35" scale neck, otherwise I would have kept it. Kept the sofa instead, and in typical Basschat fashion, have completely contradicted myself because I now have two 5 string basses that are 35" scale. It had a great passive tone in fact, which I've always liked, but the active eq was good too. Anyway, GLWTS. -
Morning all...just back from delivering the proceeds from yesterday to the Centre Manager - you managed to raise £641.25 for the venue which the centre can use to provide materials and services to young people in the area. They have a recently refurbished Music studio which will almost certainly benefit from the funds. raised. I thank you all..
Fantastic work! Congratulations on another successful Bash, Mick...

Can't be there today Mick, but hope it goes really well..
I wish I were Nik but I'm going to be up a mountain in the Alps that week. I don;t have much luck with the SE Bashes do I!
No problem, Chris... A week in the Alps sounds very nice indeed. Mind you, since I haven't seen you at any Basschat Bash since the national one in 2007, I'm wondering if you're still in a state of shock and post traumatic stress disorder because of that guy who played non-stop slap bass for about 4 hours!? -
Nick, given one of the very special guests do you mind if I plug ther Bash on the Facebok Wal page again (along with an encouragement to join in the forum fun too)? Cheers. Oh, and Bumpitty Bump...
Great idea, Trevor, so please do.. -
Thank you for taking the time to listen and your kind comments. If you like the Belew slant in that, then have a listen to this which was straight off the desk from our last gig.... https://soundcloud.c...world-final-mix
Fabulous version! As a life-long Bowie fan (and still in a state of mourning to be honest), that has brought a smile to my face this morning.. Particularly because it's a Bowie tune that doesn't get much attention compared to all of his hits . Whereabouts are you based by the way?
Can I make a little suggestion? At last years Bash, there were a few attendees who were selling gear. Would it be possible to get some kind of listing together ahead of this? Obviously, don't post who is selling here, just list what, an anticipated price and preferred payment method?
Good idea! Might be best to have a separate thread for this? -
I was there towards the end of BW, then came all the angst about who owned the site and the data. Then BC. We all lived at a slower pace back then. I went on holiday for 2 weeks and when I came back there were 15 pages of posts to plough through. We get that in a day now!
+1 -

Totally agree; he's written some of the best bass lines I've ever heard. -
I've never been able to understand why this band are so incredibly popular.
Awful. A dirge, like all their other stuff IMO. But I am a bit of an old fart in my musical tastes.
