1. Thanks Owen, Is it possible to measure the depth or height within the case as well? Thanks Nik
2. Cheers Kolin, Pleasure! Hope you enjoy the cab.. Nik
3. Very nice indeed... Something Mr Bolder himself would have liked, I'm sure! Good luck with the Bowie project.
4. Hi Owen, Do you have the precise dimensions for this please? Cheers Nik
5. Great price for a quality piece of kit! GLWTS
6.
Now that's how a selling bass sound sample should be. Applause.
+1
7. Hi Folks I've just recently sold an SWR Triad to Kolin, otherwise known as 'Sausages' here on Basschat. As he doesn't appear to have a feedback thread, I thought it only right to start one on his behalf to let you know that, if you haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Kolin before, I'm very happy to say that you can deal with him in complete confidence. Our transaction was totally hassle-free and Kolin was a real gent to do deal with throughout! Kolin - hope that you enjoy using the Triad as much as I did! All the best, Nik
8. I'm not a fretless player, but it sounds pretty good to me.. GLWTS
9. Another happy 1x15 user here... Have used an SWR Triad for about 8 years (3 way design comprising 15" + 10" driver + a horn), but in that time, have also had a couple of old Peavey 1x15 cabs loaded with Altec Lansing 15" drivers which were great. And now, I'm almost exclusively using an an Ampeg V4BH head with matching Ampeg Classic series 1x15 cab, which sounds wonderful (to my ears at least). Along the way I've used 4x10, 2x10, 1x12 and 2x12 cabs as well as a Schroeder 21012 cab which was particularly good, but in the end, I always seem to come back to cabs with 15" drivers.
10.
Well, I made it through the gig. Used a plectrum (the same one!) all the way through, first set was an hour, second was about 10 mins longer. Couldn't move my hand after the gig, but working as usual this morning, no more aches and pain than any other morning. I played my US standard Precision through an Ashdown EB180 1x12 combo that was also DI'd into the PA and it sounded different to my usual style, but in some ways better, crisper and more defined. I'm definitely going to practice using a pick even if/when I get the use of my fingers back. Best of all, I'm back gigging with the band just three months after the accident which left me with a badly broken wrist and a smashed cuboid in my foot.
Great news and congrats for getting through the gig!
11.
Amazed this is still f/s.
+1 Very cool, classic looking P bass with an upgraded pick up... what's not to like?
12. As well as the other basses mentioned above, there's a YouTube clip somewhere of Colin Moulding playing a Hayman 40 40 as well.. Great band, quintessentially English/British and all the better for it IMO..
13.
Great amp. I should know, this used to be mine! For £230 I pretty much guarantee you won't find better grind and versatility!!! My VT Bass Deluxe and a Reidmar comes fairly close, but doesn't quite have the sheer welly that this does. GLWTS Nik: doubt it'll take long...
Thanks And you were right - this amp is now sold! Much faster than I expected actually...
14.
Pm'd Cheers Thebassman
And replied
15. WOW - you don't see many of those around! Won't be here long, if it hasn't gone already....
16.
Not long ago bought (another) Bigshot IO from Nick! as before a flawless and pleasurable experience! A great bass chatter of long standing, and I will buy from him again 😆
+1
17. *** NOW SOLD - THANKS FOR LOOKING *** Hi Folks Have recently got myself into a situation where I now have too many amps and too many cabs, which is great fun, but not very practical! So it's time to do a bit of selling for once, instead of buying... As a result of this rare moment of clarity/sanity, I now have this Tech 21 Landmark 300 two channel amp with footswitch & 2U flight case for sale at SOLD + p&p. I bought this on here last September as I was looking for an amp that could deliver more than just clean tones, and this certainly does that! However, before I really got into using this, I was fortunate enough to be able to buy an Ampeg VB4H rig from Beedster last October, and that is now my main gigging rig... But make no mistake, this is a really clever piece of kit that offers a lot of features and versatility for the money! To quote some fellow Basschatters who've owned and sold one of these amps, they're: "Lovely lovely amp capable of all the things that the Tech 21 RPM and RBIs are capable of!" and they're also: "Incredibly versatile: two 'blendable' channels gives the opportunity to either channel switch or run both together. I doubt there's a sound you can't get with this amp, and live and recording engineers love the D.I which I think is about as good as they get." Comes in a 2U flightcase, which has obvious signs of 'use' but the actual amp is pretty much spotless so it's done its job. Footswitch has the odd dink in the paint as you might expect from normal contact with footwear, but functions perfectly. And here's what it says on the Tech 21 website (http://www.tech21nyc...andmark300.html), which also has some sound samples on it by the way: "Two differently formatted channels deliver everything from warm classic tube tones to Sumo-sized distortion. This 2U, 300-watt rackmountable head features a fan-cooled chassis and is equally at home in a rack system or as a compact stand-alone head. Its heavy gauge steel case is touring tough. With pro features like a +10dB gain switch to enhance low output pickups and drive active pickups harder, and a SansAmp XLR Direct Output, this amp will quake the bedrock live and in the studio." Link to the Owners Manual: http://www.manualsli...ndmark-300.html And here's a YouTube link which will give you an idea of what this amp can sound like: https://www.youtube....h?v=OaeKsXXieAo As always, I'm more than happy if anyone would like to come and try this amp out in person (tea and biscuits always in good supply) or equally, I am happy to ship it if you're happy to pay for the postage.. Any questions, please ask away here or send me a PM. Thanks for looking! Nik
18.
I'll take £60. Please don't offer less. I'm practically giving this away. Here are examples of the tones this bass is capable of. https://www.youtube....h?v=TN_2MW-t-M8 https://www.youtube....h?v=huxsF0_NCag https://www.youtube....h?v=aAg82gyZn-g
Some nice playing in those videos by the way and this is a ridiculously good price for this bass! The suggestions above for packaging up the bass are all good too..
19.
It's good to have options and sometimes different instruments inspire you to play differently.
+1 I think this is very true; different basses have always brought out in me a slightly different playing style..
20.
Worse than that I've taken action to try to help buy this or JimiElliotts . I'm so bloody weak
