1.
Another vote for George Murray & Dennis Davis here. Superb.
+1 And as mentioned above, a +1 for Trevor Bolder & Woody Woodmansey. I'm sure there's others I could/should be thinking of, but there's been so many good suggestions already.. Got to say that Omar Hakim (another great drummer on Bowie's roster) and John Giblin were amazing playing together for Kate Bush on her 'Before The Dawn' tour last year!!
 2. 25/10/15 - price drop to £530 + p&p - I want to move this on now, so am dropping the price a little more to try and help that happen.
 3. Great basses these... Had 3 of them over a period of a about 5 years.. Sold them one by one, regretted it each time but kept making the stupid mistake! Recently bought another one on here back in the summer which confirmed just how stupid I was selling them all in the first place.. GLWTS

 5. Weekend BUMP for some new information... As I've already said above, having just invested in a new valve head, I'm not really looking for any trades at this time..... However, having said that, I might be interested in a deal for a cheaper P or J style 4 string bass with a maple neck plus some cash my way - simply because I haven't got any basses with a maple neck, and I really fancy trying one out! Any questions, please just ask.. Thanks !
 6. Strange world .. But not here on Basschat... Just bought the aforementioned Schecter back from Pat and all good.. Nice and easy, as it should be! Thanks Pat
 7.
I've sadly never played one myself. However, I know 4 people who have had them pass through their hands. Nik, of course. Then a guy called Chris Franklin who helped Pete sell Jethro Tull's John Glascock's for his widow. Then there is the current owner of the above - John Entwistle's bass - a lovely, lovely guy from Arizona called Mike Gutierrez who is a bass fan but also an expert memorabilia appraiser in the States. He also had a refinished JG which was beat up and in a horrible state until restored and resprayed in a blue burst. He passed that on to "Bassman Jaymi" (if you know his review vids0, who passed it on soon after. Not sure where it is now.
+1 about Mike, Trevor - he's an absolute star! He's a Basschat member actually, though not sure if he still visits the site ?
 8. I think the switches were series/parallel, but I can't be sure. Trevor will probably know though... Check out this BoWowWow tune called 'Prince of Darkness' for some of Leigh's playing.. http://youtu.be/Tlv_vFjPCoE
 9.
Have you ever player one Trevor? or know anyone who has one?
I had one for a while Rob, in the late 90s.. Cost me £700 at the time and was IIRC, JG1123 or JG1124. It came in a full flight case and had the original XLR lead and advertising leaflet with it... When I stopped playing, which I did for over 10 years, I sold it to Leigh Gorman, BoWowWow's bass player who's a friend of mine. It was passive and had the 2 little switches for the pick ups embedded in the leather scratchplate, which was quite cool.. Beautiful as it was, to my ears, it never sounded as good as the Pro IIe's that I've had over the years, which is why I sold it to Leigh. If he hadn't been back in the country for a short while from California, where he still lives, I wouldn't have sold it. Last time I saw it was when Leigh was over here in 2010 for the Matthew Ashman (ex- Adam & The Ants and BowWowWow guitarist who died in 1995) tribute gig at The Scala in Kings Cross. Leigh's such a gifted player with a unique style, that it sounded great at that gig! Given it's rarity value, I occasionally console myself with the thought that it's with the right person; better touring the States on a regular basis than having to knock out a series of dull indie covers down at The New Inn in Littlehampton in my less than capable hands!
 10. PMs replied to... Getting some interest and trade offers on this at the moment, but I'm after a sale first and foremost. Having said that, I might be tempted by a deal involving a reasonable quality passive P or J style bass with a maple fretboard...??
 11. Just bought a 12" DAS driver from Stevie, who as ever, was a pleasure to deal with! Not only did he sell me the driver, but sent me a link to where there was another identical driver for sale on Ebay, which was really helpful as I wanted 2 the same..And he also gave me loads of advice on how best to pair up particular drivers. So, I simply can't praise him highly enough! Thanks Stevie
 12. Thanks Vin, Free BUMP much appreciated.... Nik
 13. Nice cab at what seems like a good price for a Berg... ! GLWTS
 14.
Great minds think alike.......;-)
15.
That's lovely, and no, it won;t be here long! How does the sound of the single PUP passive version compare with the twin PUP active? I find myself horribly drawn to this
Steady Chris! This could undo so much recent good..
 16. Such a lot of bass for the money! Can't believe that this is still here...
 17. Buy this, get Paul to add an extra pick up and away you go! Lovely bass by the way.. GLWTS
 18.
Met Chimike, who didnt bring any gear but popped in on his way back from an amp purchase, to have a butchers at my Trace v4. Turns out he has a collection of valve amps including v4's v6's & v8s!!!!!! & others makes too!!!! Get a van & bring 'em all along next time!!!!!! Boooooooommmmmmm!!!!
Mike's brought some fabulous valve gear and other retro kit to the South East Bash over the years, as well as to the more sporadic West Sussex Bashes, and if that's your particular fancy, then you won't be disappointed if he takes you up on your suggestion next year! Sounds like a great day was had by all

 22.
Genuinely puzzled as to why this great amp is still here at what appears to be a good price
Me too ?? I thought it had gone yesterday, but events conspired against it. Nik
