1. Sunday BUMP! Fabulous & rare valve pre-amp still for sale.. Make me an offer...
2. Another BUMP! There must be someone out there that needs an inexpensive, good quality 5 string bridge, either for an upgrade or a build project..??
3. Very surprised this hasn't sold! I remember having a play on this at a South East Bash a few years ago, and it sounded fabulous. I've had three of these over the last 7 years and IMHO, its a flawlessly designed bass, beautifully made and so versatile its untrue.. If funds would permit at this time, I'd definitely be buying this.. But as they don't, then all I can do is wish you all the best with sale!
4.
Great stuff, Nik and Colin While I'm sifting through the pics from the bash, I feel I really have to post one of Chimike with his awesome, still unfinished amp/cab jobby. It's the one at the centre of the group photo above, and we had stuck on the amp a piece of paper with "Ped" written on it!
Great picture by the way Silvia!
5.
2014 Bass Bash accounts: Income Raffle - £126 Tea, Coffee & Cakes - £104.80 Door - £330 Total - £560.80 Expenditure Tea, coffee, cakes - £24.80 Hire of venue - £200 (to be confirmed upon receipt of invoice) Total - £224.80 Approximate profit - £336.00
Thanks Colin! That's great news... In terms of what we might do with the profits., we discussed splitting it between these three causes; Prostate Cancer UK DEC Ebola Crisis Appeal Enable Me Hope everyone is comfortable with those choices, but if not, please feel free to suggest some alternative suggestions. For those that don't know, Enable Me is the charity I work for and it aims to raise disability awareness and provide opportunities for disabled people to fulfil their potential. Nik
6. Great picture! Glad you enjoyed it Aud; hopefully, you'll be back next year..
7. Thanks Paul And a Thursday morning BUMP for this 'bargainous' Boss piece of kit.. A 'bass player's dream' they say!
8. Now Sold - thanks for looking! Hi Folks Having recently acquired a Zoom B3, I'm now putting up my old Zoom B2 for sale.. Now SOLD It comes with the original box and a manual, but there isn't a PSU with it unfortunately as I ran it off my power brick and used batteries.. It's in pretty good condition but in the interests of full disclosure, one of the control knobs is a bit loose now, though it doesn't affect it's functionality. I bought it about 3 years ago from barneyg42 at one of the South East Bass Bashes and it's been so useful since then for things like acoustic gigs, jam nights, rehearsals etc, simply because it packs a lot of really useful features into one small, portable unit that fits into the pocket of a gig bag: Tuner, compression, limiter, amp modelling, chorus, octave, flange, phase, distortion etc, etc. But also, the bank of amp modelling patches is really useful - Ampeg, Fender Bassman, SWR, Acoustic, Sansamp, Tube etc. Any questions, please feel free to PM me, Thanks for looking. Nik
9. ** NOW SOLD - THANKS FOR LOOKING ** Hi Folks Continuing my mini clear out, here's a set of P/J pick ups and the associated volume/tone controls: NOW SOLD I bought these from Space Chick about a year ago but haven't got round to using them or to testing them.... I was told they came from a Squier bass, but can't be certain of that. However, they are in good condition and all the necessary parts are there. Any questions, please PM me or ask away here. Thanks for looking, Nik
10. NOW SOLD - thanks for looking! Hi Folks Boss ME-50B multi-fx unit NOW SOLD. It's a fabulous unit that's served me well for almost 3 years, but I've just bought a Zoom B3, so it's time to move this on - hopefully to a fellow Basschatter.. To say it's a mult-fx unit is to under sell it's feature set really, because it also has some very useable compressors on board, and a good e.q. section too! It is a fabulous all rounder... Full working order and is in good cosmetic condition and comes with the original box and manual, but there's isn't a PSU with it I'm afraid. I actually bought it like that because I used it with my power brick.. A replacement PSU can be picked up for about £8 on Ebay or Amazon, or you can operate this with batteries... Price, p&p etc.. New, these cost over £200 at Thomann, so I think £75 is a very fair price (see here: http://www.thomann.d...multieffekt.htm), but I will listen to sensible offers.. As always, I'm happy to post this and if I have to, then it will be packaged up very carefully. Otherwise, happy for local Basschatters to come and give it a try, have a cuppa and some biscuits and the inevitable 'bass-chat'. Any questions, please PM me or ask here... Thanks for looking Nik
11. Hi Folks Bumping this quite rare Reussenzehn Daniel D valve pedal for sale for which I'm asking £65 + p&p. Recently serviced and in full working order, this is quite a rare piece of kit that produces a really warm, valvey tone that makes a huge difference to the overall presence of your sound when playing live!! And as a bonus, it provides a significant gain boost which is particularly useful if you use passive basses like I do.. It's currently fitted with a Sylvania 12ax7 from 1976 (that I got from Walbassist earlier this year) which can be bought with the Daniel D for an extra £20, which is what I paid for it. Otherwise, the unit will come fitted with a more generic 12ax7 valve. Photos: More photos in the first post above... It's a rare beast, but there is some info about it on the net here if you want to know more: Reussenzehn website (Look on the 'Musiker' page under bass preamps) Harmony Central Disco Fred's Effects database If you're interested and want to know more, please ask here or PM me. Thanks for looking Nik
12.
Apologies for the rattles, squeaks and other noises - the camera's microphone was amplifying absolutely every sound coming its way, not just the speech as would have been far preferable.
No need to apologise bluejay; this is really good to see.. Thanks for the hard work in putting it together so quickly!
13. Hi Stevie Could I take the Studiospares pre-amp please if its still available? Thanks Nik
