1. Just heard that the venue have found a band, which is a relief! Thanks for the PMs though. Cheers Nik
 2. Cheers guys - look forward to seeing you there.. I'll update the list later, Nik
 3. Hi Folks My band has had to pull out of a gig in Lancing, West Sussex this coming Saturday so I'm working with the venue to try to find a replacement. It's a Royal British Legion Club, so the audience is quite MOR/sing-along/pop-tastic - if that makes sense? Money's quite good though, and they're a friendly crowd! I've already got feelers out for this locally, but I thought I'd also try here on Basschat because BC always seems to come up trumps in the average gigging bassist's hour of need! Short notice I know, but please let me know via PM if you're available and interested? Many thanks Nik
 4. I'll take the feedback stopper please. Working now but will PM you this afternoon. Thanks Nik
 5. Bought some DR Hi Beams of Kris this week.. Nice easy transaction and he's a great guy to deal with, so am happy to recommended him to fellow BC's! Bloody good strings I have to say, so thanks a lot Kris. Nik
 6.
You'd be surprised - what seems unexceptional to one person might be fascinating to another. Plus, people always like to compare, in which case the 'uninteresting' bass or amp becomes a handy bench-mark. Also I venture to suggest that you are unique. These bash thingies are mainly about meeting people. So yes, please come if you can
+1
 7.
As it stands I'm free on this date... should that remain true, would anyone want me to blather on about anything?
Yes please Jake All blathering welcome.... I'll PM you...
 8.
Gwarn then, I'm in. Will bring an eclectic mix of poorly set up / noisy junk that is unchanged (and largely unused) from last time. Some of it may even work. The P-bass and pedal board do and that's all that really matters Will try once again to steal Nik's BC Rich.
Most excellent news Mr Lager! It'll be good to see you and your 'noisy junk' after such a long time.. Though clearly I shall have to get some security in for my BC Rich. Fancy doing another talk on 'how not to set up your bass?'
 9. Wow! A great day and a fabulously detailed Blog, Silvia.. Well done! And just what the day deserved too; it looked like another really successful event. Congrats to one and all ! Nik
 10. Brilliant idea and an amazing outcome! Just what these Bass Bashes are really perfect for IMHO.. This is something that we should do at the SE Bash perhaps, with Jazz basses?
 11. Can anyone point out where the 'P Bass Blind' thread is (...he said rather blindly) ?
 12.
I got some shots here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/fcamardo_night_time_photography/sets/72157645134489699/
Great photos!
 13.
Just back from the bash - lovely day! Thank you Mick and Lozz for organising it. Stand by for another humongous blog entry!
Great news Sylvie.. Looking forward to it..
 14. Sorry to say that I can't make this event, which is a real shame as it looks like it's going to be another fabulous Basschat Bash, and I'd love to be there to support Mick and everyone else involved. So, just to say have a good one people! Look forward to seeing all the post-Bash photos..

 17.
Hey Nik. The gauges are 45, 65, 85 and 105. It's the roundwound SMR-45 set. Cheers.
Thanks kristo, I'm on holiday at the moment so have intermittent signal; will PM you later. Nik
 18.
If it is anything like the 5'er I had, it will. Puts Fender to shame for Squire money. Whoever buys this will not be disappointed.
+1 ..I own that particular 5'er these days and it really is a fantastic sounding bass, that's a joy to play... As I'm sure this one is! GLWTS
 19. Hi, What gauge and scale length are the Dr Hi Beams please? Am assuming 30" short-scale, but it'd be good to know the string gauges.. Thanks Nik
 20. Cool! I'm look forward to hearing the Aggie next to the Streamliner, Al.. Should be interesting! Nik
 21.
I have the pleasure of owning the 1st one you did of these and its uber cool!! We have a 'hidden' track on the back end of our album called 'people of gotham' dedicated to my bass love it!
That's a great story!
 22.
I wouldn't know whether to play it or read it
That's great! GLWTS
