1. Fabulous Nig; that ticks all the (musical) boxes for me - good song, great playing, and she has a lovely voice and it's always a pleasure to hear live strings! And you look as cool as ever btw! Nik
2. Great thread! And really nice to see some of my favourite players mentioned.. Trevor Boulder (from his David Bowie days) Dennis Dunaway (Alice Cooper) John Gustafason (Roxy Music) Barry Adamson (Magazine) Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads) Leigh Gorman (Adam & The Ants/Bow Wow Wow) David Margen (Santana) George Murray (Bowie '75 to '80) These players and their basslines are part of my musical DNA for sure.. Have to agree also about Prince, and on that note, what about Stevie Wonder? Lastly; 51m0n - that's amazing about Joe Osbourne! I had no idea he played with these artists on these two tunes: America - Ventura Highway Art Garfunkel - I Only Have Eyes For You I love those two songs! Do you know if he played on America's 'Horse With No Name'?
3. I'd play every day if I could, but I never have enough time for that to happen... When I do have time, I really like playing along to a groove on a drum machine, as loudly as possible.. but that seems to annoy other people around me for some strange reason
4. Ok thanks Isaac; hope all's well with you too?
5.
This is a flipping bargain, I've had a Mk1 TRB4 for around 20 years and it's brilliant, seen off a load of other basses that I've owned.

Thank you, someone who recognises how good a deal this is
Absolutely! The first bass I ever bought on this forum, back in 'Bassworld' days 6 years ago, was from Peter and it was for the same amount as this is for sale now.. It was a Yamaha TRB1005 and though it was a good bass, it's nowhere near as fine a bass as this one is! So this really is a good deal.. And, as has been said many times before, Peter looks after all his gear and is a real gentleman to deal with.. So buy with confidence! GLWTS Peter! Nik
6.
It's too late, baby, it's much too late. The Basschat Moderator Rapid Response team is already in the Transit, tooled up, and en route ...
Good result too btw....
7. And the result is....?
8.
Eagles are nice too.
+ 1 I've never liked headless basses, basses with LEDs or single-cut basses.. Sadly, I also finding myself disliking basses played/endorsed by bassists that I don't particularly like! Not a very mature or rational thought process I know, but it keeps my inner 'Victor Meldrew' happy!
9. That's a great price for this bass, which deserves another Sunday morning BUMP !
10. These are really good basses; I had two a few years ago.. Very light, easy to play and surprisingly versatile. The asymmetrical neck makes it so comfortable, even with the 35" scale (which i don't usually get on with).. Anyway, good luck with the sale!
11.
9 more votes to come in before all attendees have voted. I can either wait until all have voted (which might be a long wait!) or close the poll on Wednesday 17th evening before I go away for a short break, or close it at noon on Sunday 28th after I get home.
I vote for closing it after the weekend... Have a good break by the way!
12. Hi Gil, Lovely example and a very interesting modification on the original electronics! Don't see many in this colour either... Great basses IMHO and for anyone interested, I can vouch for the fact that Gil is a really good person to deal with. Good luck with the sale. Nik
13. Transparency's the word! (Something many stomp boxes promise, but few deliver )
14.
I for one fully trust you, Colin, and I'm sure everybody else here does
+1
15. Done! I went for supporting music and youth this time though all are worthy causes.. Thanks Colin!
16. Just bought a Boss BR600 from Simon who, apart from being one of Basschat's finest, is a pleasure to deal with! It's a great piece of kit by the way, Simon - thanks!
17. I've currently got a Schecter Diamond P 5 string bass which is very similar to this and it is an amazing sounding bass! I get more comments about it than I do for my Roscoe Beck 5 and that's saying somethings.. Likewise, I'm surprised this hasn't gone yet.. But have a BUMP on me and GLWTS.

19. If it didn't, it should have done! Wherever the hotel was, me, WalMan and merton couldn't find it for ages and ages and arrived considerably late! It wasn't easy to find (or we were too stupid to find it)... Great road trip though
20.
For the benefit of the newer members, there were several national Bashes held at a hotel near Northampton, just off the M1. There were excellent turnouts at each one. An afternoon of gear looking at gear and noise making followed by everyone sitting down for a meal. Inspired by these the regions decided to hold their own local Bashes.
Good point Dave! We took our lead from there really...
21. Very true Jack; logistically, it's very difficult to do I think. What might be better is to put some sort of 'How to' toolkit together and share it with anyone who wants to run a local Bash?
