1. Hi Folks A number of us West Sussex Basschatters have decided to get together for a mini-bash next month and we'd love to invite a few more locals to join us.. It's going to take place on Saturday 26 November between 1pm-5pm and the venue is: The Dairy Community Centre, Church Street, Littlehampton West Sussex, BN17 5EL which is here on the map: http://maps.google.c...ved=0CB4Q8gEwAA So far we have: 1. Silverfoxnik 2. Walman 3. Johnnylager 4. Chimike 5. jhk 6. bassninja As with all Bass Bashes, it's a chance to get together and discuss our favourite bass-related subjects without boring our friends/families/work colleagues absolutely senseless etc.. We're going to split the cost of the room between us (which is about £32) and obviously, that cost would go down depending on how many of us attend.. So, please come along on the day - register your interest here or send me a PM. Thanks for looking and hope to see you there! Nik
2. Hi, Sorry i've only just seen your post and yes - it's still available.. It's a great little pedal and though I should put it on Ebay or something as it's not being used, I've just been too busy.. Feel free to PM me for further info.. Cheers Nik
3. Sorry to hear about your car, Clarky! Hope these sales go through quickly for you...
4. Free BUMP for a great bit of kit and for Jon, who's a great guy to deal with! A couple of years ago, Jon was kind enough to let me use this Metro before i bought mine, so i could see what the fuss was all about.. It's in very good condition, as is all Jon's gear, and at this kind of price i still think the Metro is the best Combo on the market.. The best thing would be to buy this Metro and the Eden 212 that Jon's also selling - now that'd be some rig!
5. A bass this lovely should be BUMP-ed to the top completely unashamedly IMHO...
6. Fabulous looking bass! Good luck with the sale...
7. Wow - that's very narrow.. It doesn't look 15mm to me in the phots; more like 17mm.. But you must be right! Anyway - very nice looking bass and highly regarded, especially on TalkBass.. I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet???

9.
It looks like it was a great day! Wish I could've been there....... I would LOVE to know who everyone is in the photos though!
I've added some names in and will try to do the rest later tonight, though I'm at work until 9pm...
10. I'll try and edit the picture posts later to add some names...
11.
Ah yes the infamous lewd example of kick drum mic phase issues.... Mary Whitehouse would have been up in arms!
Indeed! (for those of us old enough to remember who Mrs Whitehouse was)
12. Ok; last lot of photos taken on my Blackberry Curve which has a really bad quality camera so the pictures are quite grainy.. but hopefully the vibe comes through which is what matters! Apologies to those who's names i have ommitted! 15. Good raffle by the way! So thanks Merton for all the hard work and thanks to all who donated the prizes!
16. Got to say Tom that the Krampera rig sounded really good! Shame it wasn't set up in the Jam Room so it could be heard against some drums... next time perhaps?
17.
Nik - Who ended up being the winner? Any pics?
Hi Mike There were lots of winners in the raffle and lots of prizes won but amazingly - I won the Geddy photo! I'll post up pics (along with lots of others from Saturday) tonight.. Nik
18. Hi Folks Just got home and now have a drink in my hand to unwind, so all good... So.. where to start other than to say thank you to everyone for coming and making it such a great day; those from Nottingham, Birmingham, East Anglia - wow!! Special mentions for 51m0n, jakesbass, bassace, mcgraham & TomKent for doing their brilliant, brilliant workshops.. Mark & Tom were very patient as things ran way over time, so thanks guys for being so understanding! Big thanks also to Hamster & Mrs Hamster for sorting out all the food & drinks and to Merton for sorting out the Raffle - both of which have contributed to the funds raised for good causes (see Colin's update above).. The was so much good stuff happening all day that it's difficult to cite any one thing in particular as standing out, but i must just say that the vibe in the Jam Room this year was extra special.. Paul The Drums, silddx & Stingray 5 were brilliant and especially when they got seashell (Shelly) involved in the jam! Gear wise, loads to see and admire, but mcgraham's Wood & Tronics 5 was just awesome, as was Alex's Barefaced 2x12 - very GAS-worthy indeed!...anyway, more on that later. Lots of photos to look at and upload, many taken by Loraine (Mrs Silverfoxnik) and thanks to her for taking them and thanks also to everyone there who made her feel so welcome! Nik
19. Thanks Jake! Looking forward to it... Si - you've obviously not played with some of the dodgy drummers I have - always a raffle or a lottery as to whether they'll be in time
20. WORKSHOPS RUNNING ORDER: Sorry for the delay on this folks.. Here's the 5 workshops happening tomorrow: 11.30: 'Recording Q&A's' Workshop - 51m0n 12.30: 'Quick Solutions' Workshop - jakesbass 13.30: 'Double Bass' Workshop - bassace 14.30: 'Music Theory & technique' Workshop - mcgraham 15.30 'Life as a freelance bass player' and 'Krampera Demo' Workshop - TomKent We're going to decide first thing tomorrow where to site them. 51m0n's, mcgraham's & Tom's workshops will definitely be in the theatre, but it might be best for Jake's & Roger's to take place in the quiet room/foyer area. That way, if we need to adjust the timings to accomodate the people delivering the workshops, then we'll have the flexibility to do so.. Hope that's OK for everybody? Also, don't forget the Jam Room that's happening for those of you that want to groove along with a drummer... and the amazing Raffle this year!!! Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow! Nik
