1.
Oops, meant to post this days ago. Contribution to the raffle: Brandoni bass gig bag. (A little used, but well-useable! )
Thanks - added to list!!
 2.
Not going to be able to make this now I'm afraid, so Surrey will be spared the Mesa 1516. Hope it all goes well guys C
Shocked on both counts Chris; 1) that you can't make it and 2) that you've still got the 1516... Hopefully next year then and hope all's well...
 3. Lovely a thought as it is, I'm after something specific..Otherwise, i'm quite happy to keep the Metro.. Thanks for the tentative offer, though. There's another Metro going to be coming up for sale i think - I'll PM you!

 5. Thanks guys for those positive comments! Much appreciated.. It is a reall great combo and with the 210 added to make it a 410 set-up, it's even better! Tonally, it does offer lots of possibilities though as has been well-documented, Eden gear doesn't usually give you an overdriven, valvey sound - even with the tube channel.. Money's tight everywhere, hence the price i've pitched it at, but as I've said already, if it doesn't go, then it will not be a problem.
 6. Hi Folks, Eden Metro 210 combo & 210 *** SOLD *** After 4 years of looking, I've finally managed to buy a Hughes & Kettner Bassbase 600 head to use with my SWR Triad - a rig combination I've been wanting to try for ages..and fortunately, I really love the sound of it! But the irony is that for the first time in 5 years, I'm not in a band, so I'm going to have to wait a bit longer before I can try out this new rig of mine in anger!! Funny how the world works, isn't it? So as a result, I'm offering up my Eden Metro 210 combo for sale at £475 o.n.o. + p&p. It's got just about everything a combo should have IMO; two channels, fabulous e.q., valve pre-amp stage on Channel 2, built in compressors on each channel, DI, Fx send/return for each channel, mute, footswitch etc, etc...Plus the well-known Eden 'enhance' control that's almost like an instant way to dial in your perfect sound! This one comes with the footswitch by the way.. Power rating is approx 300 watts at 8ohms (just the combo itself), about 450 watts with the additional 210 cab, and it will push out 600 watts if you run it at 2ohms, though I never have.. At most of my pub/small club gigs, the whole rig (as seen in the photo below) is way more than capable of holding it's own..more often than not, i'm asked to turn it down.. Oh, and it sounds great! Here's the Eden website link to the newer model. And some reviews here:BGRA review / Harmony Central review. I had this serviced in summer 09 just after I bought it from Crez, so it's in good working order, though it shows some exterior signs of the fact that it's 11 years old now. Here's a picture of it taken last August, but I can do some more if there's any interest. By the way, I might be tempted to let the 210 cab in the picture go as well for an additional £165 if anyone wanted the whole rig for £640, which is quite a bit less than I paid for it. Any questions, please ask here or send me a PM... Try-outs very welcome, as is collection.. Equally, I could ship it but it'd be expensive! Thanks for looking. Nik
 7.
It is not mandatory to turn up with gear. You would be very welcome to come and chat.
+1 Absolutely right; please come and meet people, attend the workshops, try out a huge array of gear etc, etc.. that's what these events are all about!
 8. Roger Cook, who co-wrote 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing', writes all of his songs on a 4 string ukelele...maybe that's the way to go?
 9.
Definitely not coming. Never mind, there's always next year.
Shame...but never mind..As you say, there's always next year!
 10. It's all very cryptic in a kind of Dan Brown/Knights Templar/Freemasons kind of way... That's a nice Alembic though
 11.
I am not in the market for this (I have managed to persuade myself) but if someone wants it couriered then if they already have a hard case lying around they could courier that to benebass using parcel2go for not much money and have it sent back in that rather than shelling out for a new case. Just a thought.
+1 Where there's a will, etc, etc...Good luck with ths sale!
 12. Congratulations! Good to see a big brand like Warwick supporting a wide range of talents, not just the most obvious names..
 13.
I love the two J5s.
+1 me too...and good to see Stu back on here, especially with that first J5 which is still one of the sexiest looking super Jazzes i've ever seen!

Epic 34" 5-string, ultra resonant and it has the best J pickup on the planet, it is huge.
Gorgeous! Are you bringing it to the SE Bash next month Sean?
 16. Hi Folks, I recently sold my modified Roscoe Beck V to wombatboter (Geert) and despite having to ship the bass overseas to Belgium, the whole transaction went really, really well. What's more, Geert was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish; excellent communications, very clear and upfront about everything...and someone who really knows his stuff ...a real asset to the international Basschat community IMHO! Anyway, I never like parting with basses, but thanks Geert for helping to make the whole thing much easier than I thought it would be! All the best Nik
 17. Thanks folks for the kind words!! Geert - thanks! I would love to take you up on that offer one day.. All the best Nik
 18. Tandro recently bought my Zoom B2 1.u pedal and was a perfect gent throughout! Great communications, easy-going and very clear with everything.. Thanks a lot Tandro - look forward to dealing with you again!

 23. Great news on all the above and thanks to Simon for his donation to the Raffle I think there's enough support for us to now agree that the proceeds are going to be split 50/50% between the two charities.. Thanks folks!
 24.
I'm fine with whatever is decided. Both are very worthy causes and a nice way to further honour Si/OG. I'm also just rooting through my dark, dank, dungeon (otherwise known as my store cupboard!) for some goody(ies) to donate to the raffle.
Thanks; that just about sums up my view on it..
