1.
My latest acquisition............................. a beautiful set of Sandberg twins. Each have their own little subtle differences. First up is punchy, bright little a JM5 with a maple finger board, Delano pickups and Slinky strings. The other is a more mellow offering of a JJ5 with Rosewood board, Haeussel single coil pickups and TI flats for a thumping smooth sound.
I owned that JJ5 for a while and it's a fabulous bass..Lovely duo by the way

 3.
I sent Steve an email asking for his Paypal details, offering the asking price + postage as requested in an email I received from Steve, which also asked me to say if I didn't want it - as he would then 'move forward in order of enquiry'?? The next email I received from him said that someone had 'got in first'????? My offer is still open & I am ready to send him the asking price + postage - as I was six days ago! Sorry Nik, but given these facts - it is only natural that people will suspect a bit of gazumping had occured!
Hmm..Admittedly, that does seem odd but it's difficult for me to comment as I've not been involved in that part of the process. And wthout wishing to get involved further in the 'debate' (because I can't affect it either way) I would just add that whenever I've had a number of enquiries at the same time when selling something, it can get a bit confusing...so maybe that's what happened here? Steve is a very straight person though and he wouldn't do something like encourage gazumping; I'm pretty sure of that. But as you know, this is not my sale so I won't say anymore because I've not been involved in the fielding of direct emails etc which is where the problem seems to lie.. On a personal note, I'm sorry if any one here feels that they have not been treated appropriately; occasionally that has happened to me too on Basschat and it's not a nice feeling.. This does make me think that I probably won't do this kind of hosting someone else's sale on Basschat again as it's potentially too problematic.
 4.
I'm not aware of any gazumping on this bass..But in the interests of doing things properly, I'll ask Steve for an update/explanation and let you know..
Hi Folks, As promised, here's the lowdown from Steve: "Nick, The price for the bass is still £400 plus postage and if there wasn't so many people commiting to buy then not following through it would be sorted by now. Cheers....Steve" Nik
 5.
PS - The James Brown figure in the corner of the pic is lifesize - just goes to show what a monstrous rig this is. . .
Good luck with the sale!

 19.
Hi Nik, I have the Tone Hammer too mainly as a back up / DI but I use it for recording too - excellent piece of kit. The rig does truly sound fantastic and I think my main band will be a bit gutted if it goes but my ageing body demands that I get something easier to carry.
Hi Al, Yes; I'm much the same - the Tone hammer is a fantastic back up for gigs should anything happen to my Eden rig..it's great to know it's there for any gigging emergency.. The rig looks fantastic too IMO.. Nik
 20. Great looking set up!! I have an Aguilar pre in one of my basses and an Aguilar Tone Hammer as well, and am very happy with the tonal range available and the fundamental Aguilar sound that's there if i want it, so I imagine this rig sounds pretty amazing! Good luck with the sale
 21. +1 It can only be a Mark I.. Wal didn't start work on the designo of Mk IIs until after they designed a 5-string in around 1987 IIRC? Good luck with the sale!
