You got the footswitch?
There's more chance of the world being called 'Christendom' again than finding the footswitches for these.. though I do have one with mine having said that! BUMP for what is a great amp, IMO...
 2.
I'd like to recommend silverfoxnik to the community as well. He bought my Hughes&Kettner BassMaster (BATT). He is very friendly to deal with and paid almost immediately. Thanks Nik!
Thanks Gilles! Am looking forward to receiving the H&K Batt and to leaving you some very positive feedback too.. regards Nik
 3. That's a nice looking bass! Good luck with the sale...
 4.
Yeah sure You might like Stevie Wonder, who he ripped off!
+1
 5. Wow! A real piece of history... Nice looking bass too.
 6.
Ask Silverfoxnik.
Thanks Jack... unfortunately mine's not white but natural. The Olympic white ones look pretty cool!
 7. B-U-M-P! Can't find out how old this is unfortunately.. The SWR website doesn't have any info on dating products that I can find. If anyone knows where I might find that info out, please let me know, thanks? Still sounds great though....
 8. Great gig last night at The 6 Bells in Chiddingly, East Sussex! It was absolutely packed and a very mixed age range in the audience, from teenagers upwards.. We do 'Use Somebody' by The Kings of Leon and that song gets the most amazing reaction from people..the place was going crazy!! As it was our first gig since New Years Eve, we played pretty badly in the first set, but managed to pick it up in the second. Our keyboard player is going to Australia now for 2 months as he's getting married over there, so no more gigs until the end of April.. All in all, a good night!
 9.
My heart goes out to all concerned. Maddude - My utmost respects to you for all you did for James - the world needs more people like you
+1
"Suicide is not chosen; it happens when pain exceeds resources for coping with pain." Thanks maddude for helping him cope for at least a while.
Well said. A very sad day... Dyslexia is one of the most debilitating disabilities to have in this 'information-driven', 'social-networking' obsessed age of ours.. We have some volunteers at work who are dyslexic and one of those has a severely damaged spine as well. Though she's in a wheelchair as a result, she always says the dyslexia is more of a barrier for her in life.. which kind of puts it in perspective!
 10.
Ok guys, I think enough people have contacted me now that a change of price is justified. I am going to revise the asking price to £3300. I hope this doesn't make anyone angry, I just want to make sure I get what people think is a far price. Thanks to all. Gareth
Just my 2p worth Gareth, but given the circumstances, the other comments here and especially Chris & Paul Herman's opinions, then I think you're perfectly justified in putting the price up by what is in effect, only 10%.. It's a beautiful bass as everyone has said.. Good luck with it!
 11.
Thanks for the comments guys. Nik, I'm not on WBN any more so if you could point the folk there to this thread I'd appreciate it. A few other things to point out following a PM: The fingerboard is ebony rather than the usual rosewood for a fretted Wal. Standard 9v Wal electronics and hardware. Cheers Gareth
No problem - all done!!
 12.
The special is really nice!
+1 That is a very sexy bass...
 13. Well done! And that's very useful to know as I have a B2.1.U..
 14. That's too beautiful for words really!! Very interesting provenance on this bass too; the last one made by Pete, the little Fish logo on the headstock, the pick-up placement etc, etc? Obvious question.. have you put this on the Walbassesnaturally Forum yet because I would expect it to generate a great deal of interest there? Good luck with the sale Gareth..
 15. *** Thanks for all the interest - this is now SOLD! ***
 16.
I was eyeing this up yesterday and would have probably gone for it as a backup if I didn't crash the car into a bollard last night! Looks like a great little D-Class amp for not a lot of cash...
Sorry to hear that!! Hope the damage isn't too bad...
 17.
Also it does have jack outputs. See that hole in the middle of the speakon socket? That's it! Took me ages to find on my Superfly!
Thanks for that info! You really do learn something every day...especially here on BC.. And cheers for the positive comments chaps!
 18.
You can buy with supreme confidence from Nik!! This is a great cab at a truly bargain price.
Thanks Jon! I know we discussed this when I bought the Eden rig last year; the Triad and the Metro do sound amazing together! But in most venues I play, that rig would be absolute overkill, and I just don't have a big enough car to take the combo and the Triad together.. Shame, as it would literally be deep joy!
 19.
The Triad is a completely brilliant & wonderful-sounding cab and 200 quid is a steal. Just wanted to say that. Have a bump
Many thanks! Some PMs replied to and will do any others now.. It's a Mk 2 (or Mk II) version of the Triad but I don't know what year..I'll try and find out though via the SWR website.. It's definitely a 4 ohm cab!
 20. Thought it might be useful to post a link to the Ashdown website HERE which has all the spec...
 21. I had the 5 string version of this about 10 years ago; surprisingly good sounding bass and really well made! Good luck with the sale..
 22. Hi Folks Since I got my Eden Metro (210 combo + 210 cab) rig last year, this beautiful sounding SWR Triad cab is just not getting used. I bought it 2 years ago from Lee-Man and have used it with a varity of different amps; Peavey T-Max, Eden Nemesis, Gallien Krueger, Ashdown and the Eden Metro and in each case, it brings the very best out of the amps (and the various basses I've used).. There's some great reviews of this cab on Harmony Central HERE. I think this comment from one of the reviewers sums it up: "I've played through tons of Genz Benz cabs, some Ampeg cabs, and a good bit of other stuff, and there really isn't a comparison you can make to the Triad. With the possible exception of Accugroove, no other bass cab manufacturer I know of offers a 3-way bass cab. This isn't a PA cab, but I guess it would make a great one. The sound of this cab is top notch and I would rather have 2 of these than a 15/210 combination." Though the Triad design has been around since the mid to late '90s. it's still in production, so here's a link to the SWR site which has all the SPEC. Here's a very recent photo: I can supply more photos should you want to see them. It has speakons & jack sockets on the back, by the way. It isn't light; at 80lbs it definitely needs some muscle to move it around, but the trade off is that the sound is just fabulous! It can be shipped obviously, but at a cost of around £30-35, so if anyone's interested in the cab, then collection would be a much more sensible option if you are anywhere near West Sussex? As you can see, I have used some gaffa tape across the front to stop the aluminium grill from vibrating on the very low notes and it does the trick nicely.. Personally, I quite like how it looks, but I realise that some people might not. But it doesn't affect the cab in any material way and it can be removed and cleaned up without too much trouble. Price: I saw one of these go on Evil Bay before Xmas for almost £240 IIRC, so I am asking for £200 ovno (plus p&p) which I think is quite fair. However, feel free to make an offer.. Any questions, please PM me or ask away here.. Thanks for looking.. Nik
 23. Very nice! Good luck with the sale...
