1. I had one of these and used it very happily for a year or so before upgrading to an Eden Metro.. It's a brilliant introduction to the 'Eden sound' and has loads of great features as well. Oh; and it's quite powerful too which is always useful.. Good demo of it by Bill Clements on YouTube HERE! Good luck with the sale!
 2.
I had someone PM about this bass and why I sold it to Aussiephoenix, this is what I said...: Edit: don't get me wrong - it also sounds good in a "home" practice environment. However, it was awesome live. I'm sure whoever picks this up would be very happy with it. By the way the previous owner to me is also knocking around here somewhere. He used to go by the name of russofjamm back in the BassWorld days, and I think he's on BC now with a different name which I can't remember. So there you have it! p.s. I should add that my transaction with AP went very smoothly, and I personally wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.
Wasn't russofjamm what mr.russ used to call himself?
 3.
sweet
Yup! Very...
 4.
I've had second thoughts about selling this and so have withdrawn it from sale. It was an attack of the madness last night. Thanks for the kind comments, you made me see sense. Perhaps I ought to think about using it a bit more instead.
Good plan Dave!!
 5. I think the body is a mahogany core with a laminate top & back..
 6.
A bargain, methinks!!
+1 They came fitted with Kent Armstrong pick ups as standard if I recall correctly...
 7. Great looking set up, but must say that the Ken Smith is especially nice...
 8. Hi Edmouk, Nice looking bass but I agree with you that it does look like it might be one of the Lowden-era Goodfellow basses from the 1990s. I remember back then buying one of the 5 string models for about £700 and it was a goo dbass but not really in the same class as one made by bernie himself. I'd say that a second hand Lowden-era one now would be worth between £500-700, but that's a total, total guess! Good luck with it, Nik
 9.
Each pickup has its own 3 band EQ - bit different eh?
Now that's just greedy!! Very nice bass by the way....
 10. Looks like a fantastic day.. Some fabulous looking basses for us down here in the south to be envious of.. That Wood and Tronics 5 looks stunning...As do 4000's Seis and many others too. Most impresive of all though was that you guys managed to have some WAGS there!! How do you do that then?
 11. Can't believe this hasn't sold yet! I know it's only recently been listed for sale, but these are such good instruments.. Anyway, good luck with the sale!
 12.
Hello all Seriously thinking of selling my Sei Jazz 5, see link This is my backup bass, and is really too nice a bass to have sitting around doing next to nothing. I know it's coming up to Christmas so this might not shift, and being honest it won't bother me if it doesn't. Looking for offers around the £1600 mark !!! Cheers y'all Stephen
Gorgeous looking bass! Far too nice to be a back up...
 13.
Can't believe I haven't added mine to this thread.
Had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Jake's Alembic at the SE Bass Bash last month.. I think it's one of the most stunning instruments I've ever seen; almost like looking at the bass equivalent of a Rolls Royce or a Bentley! And the sound? Well, it was awesome (mind you Jake's playing was a huge part of that too)..
 14. Very cool looking gear! I've never played a Jaguar but they look great...
 15.
I think that is one aspect of playing in a covers band that is so appealing. I listen to music that I wouldn't have ordinarily listened to until I am really familiar with it and get to appreciate it more. Well, except for Mustang Sally.
+1
 16.
I would say hang on a bit longer and get the dough together for a BareFaced Vintage 2x15". My 2 Compacts are stunning together and can only presume the Vintage is the same if not a little better. Cheers, JTB
+2 Heard Merton's Vintage at the SE Bash and it was unbelievably good!! And considering it's a 215, it was pretty light as well...

 18.
I come from the age of vinyl, like the author of that article -- when you went into town on Saturday afternoon with your few quid and scoured the record shops, coming home with 2,3, maybe 4 carefully selected albums. You put on an album, you listened to the whole thing, all the way through, carefully. Listened again. And again, if it really grabbed you. And again, if it was an instant classic. Back then I think I probably knew every lyric to every song on every album I owned, because music was very definitely finite and so we listened more carefully. Perhaps we even treasured it more?
+2 (or is that 3) That was exactly my experience.. And i think because music was once so much harder to access, it was more treasured as a result IMO! Going back to Alex's OP, he definitely has a point; there's just so much music on stream 24/7 now, either as a backdrop or soundtrack to something else, that it has somehow become devalued as a result. Part of that change has definitely been driven by technology and because we can use cool functions like 'shuffle', the idea of an album as a piece of art in it's own right has become almost meaningless. That's not to say that it's all bad, just that the landscape has changed. My daughter who's 19 has grown up with the new technology and new formats and she loves music just as much as I did when i was her age..but she listens to it in a very different way.
 19.
Ooooh, hellllooooooooo
silddx did add a certain 'glamour' to the proceedings, it must be said... Great pics by the way Captain!
 20.
Some cracking shots in this thread! Here's a couple from a gig two weeks ago, first outing for my Corvette Fretless in its new white livery.
+1 Your two shots aren't too bad either!!
 21.
GAS is a cruel, cruel mistress.
Yup! Expensive too...
