Hi Folks,
Up for sale only is my Bass Centre Bruce Thomas Profile Bass, which is in very good condition, plays beautifully and sounds great!
I'm looking for £350, which is what I paid for this bass back in March when I bought it from @Steve1967
Here's a link to Steve's original advert.
Hopefully, the photos show that the bass is in very good cosmetic condition and as said above, it really does play like a dream! It's also pretty lightweight too..
Reason for selling....?
Well, I've always wanted one of these, but despite it being every bit as good as the reviews have said it is, it's just not getting any playing time due to my other 3 main basses - G&L SB1, BC Rich Eagle and Fender Jazz - but they're all twice the price of this one, at least .
So, hopefully, this superb value salmon pink beauty will find a new Basschat home soon, as it really is too good to be sitting around unused!
Collection only please from Potton, Central Bedfordshire, or I'm happy to meet up within an hour's drive from me if that helps.
Trials very welcome here with your amp/ cab of choice..
And plenty of tea/coffee /biscuits available as per standard Basschat rules & regs! 😁
Any questions, please ask here or send me a PM.
Thanks for looking.. 👍
Cheers

Hi Folks
For Sale or trade;
2 x Genz Benz Neo x 112 T bass cabs, each comes with a Roqsolid cover .
I'm looking for £SOLD o.v.n.o for the pair, but am happy to sell either for £SOLD o.v.n.o.
Happy to entertain interesting trade offers too.. Maybe a short scale bass, a fretless, old Trace heads, fx, etc, etc..
So, as can be seen in the accompanying photos, both cabs and covers are in very good condition.
More importantly, both cabs are working perfectly.
They sound great too - one reviewer on Talk Bass said this:
"... it's the best single-driver cab I've ever played or heard. It's a bit large compared to other 112's, and the extra cab volume probably gives it that fullness that I hear in it. But the Neo driver helps keep the weight down."
Which I think is a fair summary... I've been very surprised at how good these cabs work as a one cab solution. And as a pair, they're absolutely excellent.
All in all, with whatever amp you choose to pair them with, they make a great, modular gig rig.
Here's the Tech Spec:
Drivers: 12 inch 300 watt rms neodynium, with variable control tweeter.
Impedance: 8 ohms.
Weight: 37 lbs.
Frequency range : 45 hz to 18khz. Dimensions: 18 inches high, 16.5 inches deep, 21.5 inches wide. Connections: Speakon and quarter inch jack sockets.
Tilt back foot feature.
And the Blurb from Genz Benz says:
"This compact dynamo is a powerful, full-bodied single 12" bass enclosure designed to produce the full spectrum of the bass instrument. The portability and output of this model is exceptional, delivering tone and performance. "
Reason for sale:
Despite how good they are, the reason I've decided to put them up for sale is that I've bought a Fearful Greenboy 15/6 cab which I intend to use as a one cab solution for my bigger gigs.
Misc:
None of the amps/basses shown in the photos are part of this sale.
Collection only please from Potton, Central Bedfordshire, or I'm happy to meet up within an hour's drive from me if that helps.
Trials very welcome here with your amp/ bass of choice..
And plenty of tea/coffee /biscuits available as per standard Basschat rules & regs! 😁
Any questions, please ask here or send me a PM.
Thanks for looking.. 👍
Cheers

Just had the pleasure of dealing with Will, aka @attackbass.
Today, a perfectly packaged Carl Martin pedal arrived safe & sound at my door, just a couple of days after sending through the funds.
Great pedal in very good condition, super-fast delivery and excellent comms...
What can I say other than 'deal with Will with absolute confidence, Folks!'
Thanks Will, and here's to the next time!
Cheers

Had the pleasure of meeting Will and his wife today - two really lovely people...
I also had the pleasure of buying Will's Greenboy Fearful 15/6 from him and wow, it's a great sounding bass cab!
As always, it's great to meet fellow Basschaters in person and especially, when it is someone like Will who's been such an active and interesting contributor to the Basschat community over the years.
Anyway, just to say it was a really smooth transaction and I'd be happy to recommend @2x18 / Will to everyone here.
Thanks Will - it was great to meet you, and here's to the next time... 👍😊

Beautiful looking bass, @Merton!
A real credit to the talents of @Cosmicrain...
Can't believe you're selling it tbh, especially as it looks so cool (on you) in the photos.. 😁
Anyway, best of luck with the sale! 👍😊

Oomph? Wallop? The term you are seeking is ‘heft’ 👌
I’ve some electric gigs this summer and would love to get a Walkabout, consider me interested 👍
Heft, indeed, Chris ! 😁
I have the 15" version of this combo and agree with everything you've said about the Walkabout combos, @essexbasscat.
IMHO, there's something very special about them due, I think, to the combination of the valve pre + mosfets in the amp, paired with the uber-clever cab design with it's downward firing passive speaker...
Whatever it is, it's a glorious combination of sound!
GLWTS (not that you'll need it..) 👍😊

I'm staggered that this hasn't sold yet. Do people realise what they're missing here, for the price of a pedal?!
I'll never understand why brands like Aria and Cort don't garner the respect and interest they deserve. Once again, fashion is a cruel mistress.

Have a BUMP on me @Bass Wielder
Like @tobiewharton, I'm equally staggered that this hasn't sold yet.
The upgrades are worth the asking price alone!
A sign of the times, I guess, but for anyone needing a quality 5er at a very decent price, this bass is just about perfect...
GLWTS 🙏

I would have pounced on this like a hungry lion had it been the 5 string version.
I had the 5 string version of this model about 15 years ago, bought direct from Bernie Goodfellow.. I can still remember him fitting the Aguilar pre in it and setting it up for me.
It had a great sound - very Marcus Miller in some respects, but it was good for lots of different styles of music. IIRC, I only sold it to upgrade to a Fender Roscoe Beck V.
This looks like an absolute bargain to me btw, and Jay's a great person to deal with!
GLWTS 👍😊

Hi Folks,
It's my pleasure to start a feedback thread here for Jack, aka @jackfromnpt, who drove all the way from Wales to West London yesterday, to buy my Fender Classic 50s P Bass.
The deal took a while to come together as Jack had to sell a bass first, and then we had to work through all the logistics (as I wasn't keen on posting), but we got there in the end I'm pleased to say.
Throughout, Jack's comms were excellent and he was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. All in all, it was a very easy and pleasant transaction.
Suffice to say that you can deal with Jack in complete confidence Folks, and I'm more than happy to recommend him to one and all here on the Forum!
As we met at my workplace, there wasn't really much time for us to sit and have the customary Basschat chat about all things bass, which was a real shame... But I've no doubt that, if we had of done, we'd have had a great conversation.
Having said that though, even in that very short space of time, I think we managed to cram in a few interesting topics - basses, Interpol's biggest ever gig in Mexico, photography and cameras, The Mumbles, etc, etc.. 😁
So, thanks again Jack; it was great to meet you and I really do hope you enjoy the bass! 👍
Cheers

The closest bass in the Yamaha line up for construction and feel would be the Nathan East I think. So 4K new (!)
That's an outrageous amount of money...
Yours is much cooler anyway, Nick and a bargain at a quarter of the price too!

Sounds great, Nick!
Both the bass and your playing. 👍
That's a beautiful example of a classic BB, and to answer @Ashborygirl's question, I would say that you'd have to start around £2,500 and work upwards.
GLWTS 😊
