1. Really sorry to hear this Marc! Hope it works out car-wise & bass-wise! Nik
  2. Thanks folks! The voice of the people has spoken and it seems like it'd be a good move.. Stickman - will send you a PM! Thanks again...
  3.
Dennis Dunaway (original Alice Cooper Group) - to my ears simply the god of pick users: Gutter Cat vs The Jets, Blue Turk, Halo Of Flies, Billion Dollar Babies etc etc. Outrageously good. Other plectrum deities (in addition to those already mentioned): JJ Burnel, Steven Severin, Tony Butler, Peter Steele, Russell Webb, Hooky, Jason Newsted. It's probably fair to say most of my favourite players are pick users. Jon.
+1 Love Dennis Dunaway! And Barry Adamson, Leigh Gorman, JJ, Carol Kaye and many others already mentioned here.. I equally love lots of other bass players who don't use a pick. It's all down to how good the individual musician is IMO and how you connect with their sound and style of playing!
  4.
No, sorry, it came to me without either for the price im selling it for. The manual can be found on the Boss website though, and any specific questions you have i might be able to answer directly.
Ok..Thanks. Will have a think about it...
  5. Thanks folks! That helps a lot.. Never hear of the Wobo before but it sounds like a very good unit, though perhaps it's a little more difficult to get hold of than the Boss and a bit more expensive! I think that the LS-2 will probably suffice for my needs and the fact that it can also be used as a volume boost is a very attractive additional feature. I'm just a little concerned by the fact it may affect your natural tone (though the Harmony Central jury seems 'out' on that point).
  6. Is the LS-2 boxed with the manual?
  7.
very nice, porn indeed that spectorcore looks the dogs
+1 As does the Tokai....

    Boss LS-2

Hi Folks Just wondering what the Boss LS-2 is all about; what people use them for etc, etc. I was thinking I'd like a pedal that would allow me to be able to alter the signal chain in my Effects board from one effect to another, without having to pull all the leads apart.. Is it right for that sort of thing? Thanks for the help! Nik
  9.
A thousand apologies! We'll get Basschat up right away. Don't know how we could have overlooked it! Wal was on our list, but they don't seem to have a website. Anybody? We'll get Leigh Gorman up, too. Thanks for the heads-up.
Thanks for doing those. Another suggestion I'd like to make is for Dennis Dunaway to be included in the bass player's section.. His site is here: http://www.dennisdunawayproject.com/ Thanks
  10. Very cool looking bass! Good luck with the sale...
  11. Played at a wedding yesterday; got paid well (good) but as it was outside in a marquee and it was chilly, hardly anyone bothered coming into to watch, dance or even heckle (bad)! Shame really, as we had a great sound, played well and even managed to do a flawless version of 'Live and Let Die' for the first time ever.. We have done some good ones before, but most of the time I find wedding gigs (compared to most others we do) are really, really awful.. Is that true generally or is it just me??

  13. Very nice; don't see them too often over here..
  14. Nice idea for a site but it needs to link & references to Basschat please.. And also, being selfish, please can you include references to Wal basses and Leigh Gorman (BowWowWow).. Very biased I know, but you've got to ask haven't you..
  15.
All basses should look that good.
It is a mighty fine looking bass!
  16. Great cabs; I have one now and absolutely love it! Would like another one but that would just be greedy.... Good luck with the sale!
  17.
Yes, sold here a year or two ago (from me to elom)...recently on Manson's website...
Thought so.. I remember being tempted to go for it myself at the time, because it's a real quality instrument..
  18.
Here's the recently sold Kestrel....as previously stated, a lovely bass.
Lovely! Was it sold here on Basschat because I seem to recall seeing it?
  19.
They surely did - just sold mine. Lovely bass.
Cool.. got any pics?
  20. I used to have one of these, from the first production run they did in the early 90's and it was absolutely brilliant! Mine was stolen by someone who I vaguely knew (but I could never prove it) and it still annoys me even now thinking about it... Anyway, just to say that these pedals are fantastic and good luck with the sale!
  21.
Hi Silverfoxnik, only the knobs have changed, the original ones will be included. in my oppinion black knobs look to hard on this white beaty so i ordered at a german luthier those chrome knobs with mother of pearl inlays. This is the only change.
I agree with you; the custom ones look much better and are very distinctive!
  22. Congratulations; that a fantastic looking set up!
  23. Very nice too! And what's more, a bass bought with 'the wife's' blessing... now that is special!
  24.
God this is lovely. What is such a rare beast doing in Leatherhead? ;-)
+1 I bet it sounds fantastic too! Didn't they do a Manson Kestrel model about that time as well...?
