Many thanks in advance[/quote] They're very different basses having played them both and owned the BB615 (active version of 415).. In particular, the neck width and string spacing is very different, so I think you would need to take those things into account when making a decision of this sort.. Personally, I prefered the Yamaha but that's because of the wider neck and string spacing. You might try them out and feel the exact opposite, but that's what makes this so subjective, as we all have very different tastes.. Good luck with it!

Went to the new Wal factory yesterday with Mike G and had a great couple of hours... Paul Herman gave us his time and showed us around which was fantastic, so a big thanks to Paul for that! Very briefly, the details on prices, build times etc, etc will all be available soon on the new website which is about to be launched though there isn't a date set for that yet. Quite wisely, Paul is ensuring that things are done very carefully so that the re-launch of Wal Basses is done with great care and respect for the brand name and also, to manage the considerable expectation that there is out there from amongst the Wal bass community! With that in mind, I've said to Paul I'll let him see any photos I took yesterday before posting them up here or on the Walbassesnaturally group on Yahoo, so when he's had a look at them first and okay'd them, I'll put them up in another thread...
